  1. I just saw this movie. Yeah I now know what everybody means when they say this sucked. Also, the 3-d wasn't that amazing, it hurt my eyes more than it impressed me, I mean its not impressive when its no that noticeable like 3-d normally is (even though the old 3-d was stupid itself). I just say fuck 3-d, I have had a headache all day from it, and a few times during the movie I had to take the uncomfortable glasses off just to scratch/rub my eyes and forehead because of the 3-d pain (this all may just be me though), I also had to take off the glasses a few times to facepalm at parts in the movie. James Cameron threw in all these cliched characters, already used plots and put it all in a 3 hour movie, then covered all this crap with 3-d and the best of modern animation and shitty music to make each part seem like its epic.

Maybe there aren't a lot of answers to the following questions or maybe there are regular things that must happen in all movies, but still, read them.

How many stories is there where there is a noob to a certain part of the military and he is the main character and is disrespected at first by everyone and then later becomes the hero?

How many stories is there where the man falls in love with a women that is one of the enemies?

How many stories is there where the man becomes attached to the people he is with even though he is a spy for the other people, and then he has to do something eh doesn't want to do or he decides not to and switches sides?

How many stories is there where there's a hardass/douche bag general that is eventually shown to be more of a villain?

How many stories is there where the head of the team of villains is the last one standing in a battle and then pursues to fight with the main character/hero and dies (maybe to because of the help of a supporting character)?

How many stories is there where an unlikely character ends up helping out?

How many stories is there where the hero and others are captured an then escape (maybe because of the help of another good guy character that isn't captured)?

How many stories is there where one side is said to be bad, when later you realize they are the good guys?

I could go on but I might as well sum up all of this by saying fuck James Cameron and fuck Avatar!

  2. Something just occurred to me.

We (as comics fans) complain all the time about how Clark in Smallville makes stupid choices (and sometimes immoral ones), contradicting the Superman character. But I think that, to an extent, the writers and producers behind Smallville are just taking their inspiration from the Christopher Reeve-era films.

In Superman II, Superman gives up his powers in order to be with Lois, inadvertently leaving the entire world open for conquest by Zod. He later wipes Lois's memory after having sex with her, which is probably immoral on several levels. (is that like mind-rape?) Heck, Superman Returns implied that Superman actually got Lois pregnant during Superman II, then left her and the planet defenseless (AGAIN) for a whole five years.

Considering that the general public's idea of Superman comes from the films (and TV shows, to a far lesser extent), it's not surprising that Smallville's version of Clark is as screwed-up as he is.

To add some more Superman media in which Supes is that way, maybe a certain Static Shock episode?

  3. I am really getting sick and tired of these pairs of chucklefucks in Modern Warfare 2 who hide and let one kill the other over and over again to get the fucking tactical nuke.

You should see this guy's Youtube channel then. It makes me fell better after someone Nuke Boosts.

I was playing Assassin's creed 2 a couple days ago and damn those two other people in the future parts at the beginning are bitchy for no reason.

  4. The Metal Men seem like likable characters, they also seem like they could be put in a an interesting story, for example maybe something where they look at themselves and realize how they aren't human (I got a vibe of story like that with the video scene, even though that was just in there to inform us who they were), but we don't get anything interesting in this episode. Its just Tin going on about how he isn't important, when every second someone else has to tell him he is, yet at the same time that part of the story wasn't spotlighted enough. The Gas Gang were just a bunch of villains that had a similar theme to the Metal Men, they just said stupid puns (okay maybe there weren't any, but it seemed like the place for stuff like that to be), and they were never able to be destroyed. I hated them, they were annoying villains.

Also, something more could be done with the metal men besides being shiny colors for the kids. IMO

  7. I seriously want me some Live gold codes. But it always looks like it not worth the money.

So, uh, if anyone on here has some extras for any amount of time and they want to be my hero, just remember Im a person you can give a late Christmas present to. :D

  8. Green Arrow #30 cover and variant:

I don't really care for either.

I completely loved the first one at first, but then I paid closer attention and started to realize why people might not like it. For both covers, a couple things pop off too much and though they have a certain two styles and ideas to get people to take these books off a shelf, but those styles and ideas aren't actually working here.

  9. A couple of problems with Legends.

Two times Flash runs too long for the distance at his speed. First, he and the streak are running and sort of fighting, at that speed they would have finished running the field they were on in half that time, then flash saves the kid, juts across the street, this takes too long to run there and back and exchange a wink or a couple words, then they get to the field.

I hated the beginning scene, they just needed any simple scene where Flash has to carry something huge with his tornado run thing that speeds him and the league to the other earth. Why did there have to be that stupid robot that has been already said by you guys to be rip off of something, and then have the enemy controlling it be laughing and then fans questioning if its Luthor. Then Luthor gets shot out of his control boat because the monster got blown up and electrocuted a mile away from where Luthor was.

  10. Let me start by saying this will be a thread mainly for discussing any justice league ongoing or mini series. Also be sure to say news about about future series and story arcs!

I have never been a huge fan of team books, though i have read many justice league comics before, actually, i haven't read a whole hell lot. In the last two months I wanted to see what has gone on in the ongoing, I picked up #38 (some more bad art by Mark Bagley) and the 80 page giant and the seven issues of Cry For Justice. i realize that justice league has gone crazy without Bats and that everyone is pissed at each other and wanting to break away. i loved Cry for justice, but the fact that everyone is pissed off all the time in dc comics currently, is pissing me off.

The 80 page giant - only one or two of the stories in there I liked, quite disappointing.

Justice League of America #38 - this issue doesn't have any of the popular heroes in the league, that might sound cool to you, but it isn't, its just a bunch of people (I won't say who so im not spoiling more) that just complain about their disabilities they got from prometheus or whoever. Vixen is leading this small group of few leaguers that wanted to come and that hate teh league right now for seom reason, some actin here from a evil guy again, wont say who) and this issue is still crap. So I am not continuing on with this serriess, even though the next arc is blackest night tie in.

Everybody has been fucked up by Prometheus. Okay, the rise of arsenal mini series looks cool, but do I want Roy Harper messed up like many other leaguers? furthermore, it looks like he might become evil.
