My favorite is Modern Times, but the best I've seen is probably The Wizard of Oz.

*1937 was a pretty terrible year for movies.

*1939 was a great year for movies.

*Angels with Dirty Faces was my favorite film of all-time from the ages of about 5 to 12. It still ranks pretty high.
