RSS Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Frosty the Snowman is one of Rankin / Bass' most well-known and beloved pieces of work. Frosty Returns, despite its title, has very little to do with the original. SkylerQ91 Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 I'm not finished the show yet so I'm not sure if you touch on it later but I'm a bit surprised that you haven't mentioned the REAL sequel to Frosty. In the 70's Rankin/Bass did a show called Frosty's Winter Wonderland much more in keeping with the first one and with the voice of Jackie Vernon as Frosty. There was also a Stop Motion Feature film that was a sequel to both Frosty's Winter Wonderland and Rudolph's Shiny New Year a few years after that called Rudolph & Frosty's Christmas in July. Next year perhaps? -Skyler Quote
dc20willsave Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 The main difference is that Frosty Returns is shown by CBS every year along with the original. The other ones are occasionally seen on ABC Family but rarely besides that. Quote
