Missy
As the biggest ICO fan in the land, I flipped when I saw that the baby at the end of Shadow of the Colosus had horns! That means one of two things: Shadow is meant to serve as a prequel to ICO, or the baby is somehow the reincarnation of the boy from ICO (he and Yorda are dead, after all) and this is a loose sequel. Either way, I cannot wait for a third game from these guys!
Chops
*Spoiler* So, Yoda, have you unlocked the Queen's Sword? One of the other ties to Ico.
Missy
Not yet. It's the very last unlockable, and I'm taking my time getting to it.
Chops
As much as I loved this game, it still bothers me how great it could have been.
Missy
As much as I loved this game, it still bothers me how great it could have been. I would seriously score this game a perfect 10 if it were not for the wonky camera.
Chops
God how I hated that camera, horrible, horrible camera. I don't know, there were to many things, maybe just minor gripes, that I felt kept this game from truly being as great as it should have been. I still score it at 8 out of 10. James D.
Okay, I scrolled REALLY fast over the previous posts so as not to spoil anything. I just bought this game (based on Yoda and everyone raving about it) and I was wondering if you guys have any pointers I should know about before starting. Missy
No. Just dive in! Have you played ICO? This plays a lot like that, so having played it will help greatly.
James D.
Nope. Never played ICO. I'll probably start SotC tonight. I still have Final Fantasy IV that I haven't been able to really delve into yet, plus Silent Hill 4 which, for some reason, keeps getting pushed to the back burner. Chops
Just dive in and enjoy the beauty of the game, the landscape itself is one of the best points of the game. As for a pointer, when in doubt, reflect the light off your sword. This is basically a thinking mans action game, the colossi just take inovative thinking, sometimes obvious thinking, to take down. Chops
For those weren't aware, the Kotobukiya company announced last year that they would be releasing statues of each of the colossi. So, with the first staue of the "minotaur" colossus about to be released in a little over a month, I thought I'd bump this for anyone who has a hundred dollars to spare.
