Dread
Am I the only one for whom the ship has long since sailed on this property? I mean...the first film came out before my oldest son was born, and now they see this as a "little kid" movie.
You Know Who
No you're not. I don't love that Pixar is churning out sequels post-Toy Story 3 to begin with, but this one will have to be really innovative to avoid being either being just a bland sequel or recycling stuff from the glut of superhero movies that have come out since 2004. Missy
Though I've been looking forward to this since the first movie's credits rolled, it has been 13 years, so my interest has dwindled a little. Plus, I had really hoped they would have aged the characters, as they did with Toy Story. Violet would be closing in on 30, Dash would be 25-ish, both parents (late 50s) are officially retired from superheroing, and a teenage Jack-Jack would be the new hero of the family. Donomark
I love this movie, but I will admit to being taken aback by the lack of a time-skip. Dash's voice actor is 24 years old now. I'm ride or die on this because the first one is such a perfect film, but I would've preferred a shift in perspective.

Missy
It's Incredibles 2, so it'll get my money, but this trailer served to lower my expectations.
Donomark
I too thought the trailer was lame, but then remembered that the trailer for the original wasn't great either. I think I ended up seeing it due to the great reviews, not the ads. So my hype is where it is, and knowing that the creative team swerved with the last movie and are better storytellers than this trailer represents. Missy
Another concern of mine: the dad's can't parent trope. Hopefully the movie is much, much more than this, but this trailer does worry me.

But, after he said he didn't want to feed the baby more cookies did the thing he transformed into remind you of something?
