JackFetch
Morgan Creek has begun the detective work on a kooky cold case. The production company has hired Jeff Sank and brothers Jason and Justin Heimberg to write a third installment of the hit franchise "Ace Ventura." The two previous "Ventura" comedies grossed more than $180 million domestically and helped establish Jim Carrey as one of the highest-paid comedy actors in Hollywood. The latest pet project is expected to center on the eccentric detective's son, who steps into his father's shoes to take over the family business. Uh, yeah. We all went and saw Son of the Mask right?............Anyone?
Aaron Robinson
Wow. I liked the first two Ace Ventura movies and all, but I have no faith in this. Ace Ventura having a son? That’s plain retarded.
slothian
Who said Hollywood lacked originality? I mean, Jim Carrey films are so great that their greatness needs to be sequelized in such classics as Son of the Mask, Dumb and Dumberer and now this. I mean, didn't they make a new generation Get Smart with Andy Dick? That said, the Bruce Almighty spin-off with Steve Carrell and Morgan Freeman reprising their roles could be good.
