Guest Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 There tends to be a very strong opinion with most people on this topic. What say you? Quote
Missy Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 I had no problem with it, and this is the first time I've ever heard it suggested that it ruined the series. Quote
Guest Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 It started with Mega Man 4, and many have associated it with the point that the series went downhill. The anti-charge shot argument is that once it was introduced, it made the game too easy, and there was little to no reason to use your other weapons to solve problems. There's actually a group of people that are going to boycott Mega Man 9 if it includes the charge shot. Quote
Missy Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 I disagree; it added something to the game, and took nothing away. To me it was like having another special weapon, that's all. Quote
Guest Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 I don't think it ruined the game. I'm of the opinion that they should have kept it out of the main series, but definitely had it in the X series, not just as a way of setting them apart, but also because you needed all the help you could get in those games.
