Guest Posted September 13, 2008 Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 It started with Mega Man 4, and many have associated it with the point that the series went downhill. The anti-charge shot argument is that once it was introduced, it made the game too easy, and there was little to no reason to use your other weapons to solve problems. I'm of the opinion that they should have kept it out of the main series, but definitely had it in the X series, not just as a way of setting them apart, but also because you needed all the help you could get in those games.
