Anyone who hasn’t needs to see both series of Derry Girls RIGHT NOW. That said, you may subtitles for the Northern Irish accents and you should know that craic (pronounced “crack”) means fun time with friends.

On second thought, I’m going to pull out to concentrate on other projects. Looking forward to listening.

I’m really sorry I wasn’t able to watch Tintin and send in feedback. Like you guys, my brother and I also watched the 90s cartoon and read the comics from our library. It’s one of those international comic franchises that’s always interesting to learn about. Wish we had done it on CBFR...🤔
I should warn you that Herge's black people look like Mr Popo/Jinx. I've not read Tintin in America in a while or The Blue Lotus at all but I can't imagine him portraying Native American or Chinese people tastefully either.

I'd be interested. Not seen the early movies for ages or the latest one yet, but the X-Men comics were the first ones I read consistently and I've seen most if not every episode of the 90s and early 2000s cartoons. I even had the DK X-Men encyclopedia at one point. Not sure if I'm up for full synopsis duties, given that I've only done it once and I took way too long.

He couldn't possibly be worse than Batffleck.
Hope the rumors that Josh Gad will be the Penguin are false though. He is to me what James Corden is to Ian.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes, though the sequels are great as well.
Not sure how much screen time he has in Topsy-Turvy, but it'd be great to hear Pandy talk more about G & S.

Looks good and no complaints about the cast so far. They don’t seem to have announced who’s voicing Iorek Byrnison yet but judging by the roar, he’ll definitely be showing up in the first season.
One gripe about this teaser, though: Where are the dæmons?

Rami Malek has signed on to be the villain. This is a good thing as long as it’s not a stereotypical Middle Eastern bad guy and he has good material to work with, neither of which is guaranteed.

Apparently people really hate the look of his Genie. Not entirely sure why; he doesn’t look exceptionally bad (albeit form the iPhone screen I’m typing this on) and it’d be disappointing if he wasn’t blue.

Powered through the rest of season one of NORSEMEN last night. Fuck I love this show. I avoided it for AGES as I thought it was just a lower budget version of Vikings, which is plodding at best. Had I known it was a comedy, I would have checked it out sooner.
Good man.

Confession time: I’ve lived in Philadelphia for nearly five years now and have passed Rocky’s statue in front of the art museum hundreds of times but haven’t seen single Rocky film.
Forgive me Master for I have sinned.

I think he’s technically fourth-billed in Patriot Games but he’s the main villain and I think he has enough screen time to warrant it.
I suspect Ian is fixing to do The Black Death so I’ll offer him that bone. It’ll also give you two a chance to tangent about Newt Charmlessmander.
