  1. Favorite Featured Actor: Angela Lansbury

Favorite Review: Blade Runner; I’ll now have to revisit it

    Best Feedback: TBD

Best Jingle: Jackie Chan Kung Fu Man

Worst Movie: Hobo with a Shotgun

Most Anticipated Subject: Sir Ian McKellen ; that said, don’t neglect Liv Tyler or the other Sir Ian (Holm)

  2. Great episode gents!

I’m with Dan when it comes to Robin in BTAS. No fault of Loren Lester, but I used to prefer the episodes with Robin in them over the solo Batman ones and now I’m in  the opposite position. I also feel thick for not realizing the renaming of the show and Robin’s bigger role in it had to do with Batman Forever then coming out soon.

Fun fact about Apocalypse: For the first four series, he was voiced by John Colicos, the man who portrayed Commander Kor on TOS and DS9.

Yes - there is one month in which we have two actors hanging in the balance, so the votes may decide their fate!

I can't see the MP3 on the mainpage or in the forums, and I don't have iTunes access until I'm next home from secondment. Is the update only available via RSS feed?

    No it’s on iTunes.

Building on that, maybe The Year of the Franchise where each of your actors comes from one of Cinemas big Franchises. Suggestions with some actors: Winter of Bond (Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Naomie Harris), Spring of the Rings (Hugo Weaving, Liv Tyler, Elijah Wood) Summer of Potter (Helena Bonham Carter, Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman), Fall of Star Wars (Alec Guiness, Natalie Portman, Harrison Ford).

Other potential franchises could be Avengers, The Fast and the Furious (Michelle Rodriguez month, anyone?), X-Men, or even Batman or Transformers.

    This please.

  5. I think it would work better as a season rather than as a whole year. If you were reviewing the Lord of the Rings trilogy over that span, I’d suggest doing Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, and Elijah Wood respectively based on their screentime in each.

    I'm regularly unfair.

Also, I will concede that I am basing that description of Maniac on what the director himself told the BBC website, and have not seen the actual show.

But I maintain that we're missing out not having a Bond film with Danny Boyle's stamp on it.

I’ve only seen two Danny Boyle films, both of which involved major poop scenes played for laughs, so I’m not too bothered.

I’m gonna finish Beasts of No Nation and at least try Maniac. I didn’t care for Jane Eyre but that was because it was Jane Eyre.

  7. It’s not a hoax since the fossils of Dracorex are real, while the Piltdown man consisted of skull fragments belonging to a medieval human and an orangutan buried together and made to look older by chemicals (which fittingly probably helped kill the forger). The scientists who named Dracorex thought it was a separate genus (think Homo in Homo sapiens) but most experts now think that it was a juvenile Pachycephalosaurus. Same goes for Stygimoloch, whose fossils may represent a teenage Pachycephalosaurus.
