  1. Cleopatra for starters. As long as it isn't the Cleopatra in Dante's Inferno. why? which circle of Hell is she in?
  2. I take back what I said about Slade douchebags do little things like casually have the Graysons murdered (Tony Zucco), are hard on people for no good God damn reason (Mento, John Stewart, the scientific community of the Zeta Project) or are just overtly racist (Richie's dad, Val-Yor); they are not the same as evil bastards like Slade, Brainiac, Darkseid, Luthor, and the Joker, who take it a step further and murder thousands of people
  3. I was also thinking of adding the Ambiguously Ga--I mean, Specs and Trapper Livewire, Willy Watt, and Bucky are just annoying, not outright douchebags; they belong in a separate category one who I forgot was Ronny Boxer, the one who abused and trained Ace as a fighting dog ("Ace in the Hole")
  4. if you do lists during your DCAU retrospective in Episode 100 a la For Your Ears Only, could you please do one on the greatest douchebags in the DCAU? There are a lot of them: John Stewart Mento Superman whenever dealing with Jax-Ur and Mala Gil Mason (the guy who tried to overthrow Jim Gordon AND bed his daughter in "Shadow of the Bat") Richie's Dad Val-Yor Tony Zucco A character we'd all like to forget from Batman Beyond Most of the scientific community of the Zeta Project I'm probably missing a few others...
  5. was I the only one who thought that Atlas looked like Iron Man?
  6. To quote Michael David Sims, "Put the crack-pipe down!"
  7. next to the Clock King or Calendar Man maybe; I will admit, though, that his design in Teen Titans is awesome and quite sinister
  8. both "Growing Pains" and the whole Terra arc (not just the episode "Terra") involve young heroes losing their innocence in losing their love interests and both have villains voiced by the incomparable Ron Perlman; I'd have to see them both again to draw more simularities
  9. For clarification's sake, I mean the British "OI!" mea culpa
  10. out of curiosity, how old do you guys think Gizmo is? I think he might as young as six or seven, if not four or five also, "Mad Mod" is not the first episode to include an "OY!" in the DCAU. That would be "The Hand of Fate", in which Turpin busts one out, albeit a Yiddish "oy" of frustration rather than a British "oy" meaning "hey"
  11. I looked up Nick Palumbo on wikipedia but it just goes to Murder-Set-Pieces
  12. Terrible actress and awful human being as she might be, Kim Basinger is not ugly in NSNA. who, then, is the "least fit" Bond girl?
  13. something I forgot to write in my last email: Is Kim Basinger not the ugliest Bond girl ever?
  14. if and when you guys review "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths", please have Dubs as a tertiary host: Not only was he phenomenal in your reviews of Saw VI and Wonder Woman, but he's a critic of Grant Morrison, whose book "JLA: Earth 2" I believe was the primary influence for that film (both sucked balls, methinks)
  15. any idea when you two and Tom Deja will be reviewing "Green Lantern: First Flight"?
  16. I think the first time Static was in the cave was in the Static 4th season opener, Future Shock, when Static went into the future and met McGinnis. Robin was there; however, that doesn't asnwer the question of when ROTJ took place, because 2 episodes later, in "Fallen Hero", Static meets up with GL, who had not yet shaved his head and grown the beard. Future Shock aired in Jan 04, and Starcrossed in May 04. Chris there is a torrent out there featuring the soundtracks to Mask of the Phantasm, Sub Zero, and Return of the Joker, as well as a CD with tidbits from Batman Beyond, another with the suites of five Batman TAS episodes--I Am The Knight, Day of the Samurai, Feat of Clay, The Laughing Fish, and The Demon's Quest--and one with the music from three Superman/Gotham Knights episodes, those being Fish Story, Judgment Day, and In Brightest Day...(which of course has the Green Lantern theme and is AWESOME); seek it out

  18. I think they re-use it in Teen Titans and even Batman: The Brave and the Bold
  19. that's his Gotham Knights suit; if it were the Justice Lord Batman's, the logo would be silver/gray and the suit would be black, rather than the other way around; plus the ears would be longer like in the Batman Beyond suit
  20. yeah and why does he have Nightwing's costume anyway? Batman didn't force him to retire after the incident with Tim. Furthermore, he has a brief cameo in the JLU episode "Grudge Match"
