  1. I'm pretty sure it is Zatara. Also, two Green Lanterns and no Wonder Woman? What the fuck?
  2. They could make Brainiac a being created on Krypton as he was in the DCAU. How many fans would complain "No, he's from Colu!"?
  3. Amen. They could basically adapt the Superman: The Animated Series three-parter "The Last Son of Krypton" and combine it with the later episode "Stolen Memories" or better yet "Ghost in the Machine".
  4. who do y'all think the main villain of the film should be? I think it should be Brainiac
  5. as if someone looking at him from the back couldn't tell he was Superman by his black hair, red cape and boots, and blue spandex
  6. screw the man who brought us JLA: Earth 2 and Batman RIP
  7. When you do get round to watching it. Don't view it as a Superman movie, view it as a Richard Pryor film, with Superman showing up. That probably won't make any sense until you watch the film. I actually don't think I've seen anything with Richard Pryor in it. Would this be a good place to start or not?
  8. With all due respect, that movie was as campy as any of the 80's-90's Batman movies ever were. But Pryor made it enjoyable. I will stand by that movie being enjoyable. As the original Superman writer said "Its a Richard Pryor movie, with Superman.." From the bits of Superman III I've seen (through the Nostalgia Critic's 11 Dumbest Superman Moments), I kind of doubt that, but I will see the whole product before passing judgment on it.
  9. Don't be so sure about that. I've already reviewed that monstrosity in The Show #72!! I don't know if you're suggesting I should re-review that horrendous film or that I should keep it for a Superman review series. After all, we haven't even finished the Batman series yet!!!! Look on the bright side; no one is trying to rope you into reviewing Smallville. Also, you won't have to wait five films to review a very good one, like you did with Batman. You get to start with an excellent (though not perfect) one and follow it up with a fairly good sequel. True, the next three films are crap, but they'll be more fun to review!
  10. Didn't he drive a boat, or a plane or something? I'm pretty sure he was the one who got a piano thrown at him by Supes' kid, which I have to admit was a nice moment in an otherwise dull film. But I could be wrong.
  11. He was my favourite part of the movie. I loved it whenever he was on screen. He had his moments but was still rather silly: Luthor: Say it, say it... Lois: Superman will-- Luthor: WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!!!
  12. Silence of the Lambs or one of Hitchcock's horror films
  13. Though I think he's a good actor (he plays "Snowflake" in the awesome film Glory), I also think that Andre Baugher was rather miscast as Darkseid. There wasn't enough menace in his voice or his delivery. I think he would be a kick-ass J'onn J'onzz though.
  14. It doesn't make him terrible; it just makes him hit-or-miss. For a really terrible scriptwriter, look no further than Akiva Goldsman, the writer of Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Lost in Space, The Da Vinci Code, AND Angels & Demons. (Who gives a fuck if he wrote A Beautiful Mind?)
  15. I do think that Christopher Reeve is like Sean Connery until Roger Moore became 007: His Superman had such an impact that it's almost as if no one but Christopher Reeve can play Superman; much as I love his performance as the Man of Steel, there needs to be someone who makes it easier for future actors to play the character, as Roger Moore did for James Bond.
  16. Routh wasn't terrible but he wasn't great either. Can't speak for John Shea, but think that the film needs a fresh face who can channel (though not necessarily be forced to imitate) Clancy Brown's Luthor while breaking from the silliness of Hackman and Spacey.
  17. Do you care to expand upon that? 1) It's type-casting 2) From what I've seen him in, I don't think he's a very good actor He's Gordon fucking Gekko. The man can act. Maybe my perception of his acting abilities is sullied by "The American President"; even so, he's a bit too old, especially if you have someone as young as Justin Timberlake playing the Man of Steel; you need someone who won't have a cardiac arrest if he ever fights Superman while wearing his super-suit
  18. Do you care to expand upon that? 1) It's type-casting 2) From what I've seen him in, I don't think he's a very good actor
  19. Justin Timberlake as Superman/Clark Kent: Sure, why not? Kate Winslet as Lois Lane: I'll take your word for it. Don't think I've ever seen a film with her in it. Jeffrey Dean Morgan/: Good pics, but I think Javier Bardem would be better for Non than for Zod. Also, I think Zod shouldn't be used so that Superman would actually be the last living Kryptonian. Michael Douglas as Lex Luthor: NO. Just NO.
  20. if any of those three actresses mentioned takes the role, that thing is gonna flop
  21. AND, as I said in my email, there's very few people shown on the street (only one shot of them in the entire episode, I think), so it's possible that the entire city was evacuated except for the psychos at the Daily Planet. I mean, no matter what, to say that Superman committed mass murder when it's not explicitly shown is just insane. O, OF COURSE Superman didn't kill anybody when he punched Darkseid through all those skyscrapers, O NO...the buildings were ALL empty, just like the ones the Joker destroyed in World's Finest. And NOBODY was in the streets of Metropolis during that, a city of several million people...
