  1. Waiting for Dan and Will to take a look at the Spider-Man properties.

I definitely have comments on Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

If we do Spider-Man, it won't be for a long while. At my count, there are seven different animated series which is more than a bit of viewing. Eight if you include the batshit insane Electric Company segments.

I have not seen those segments but I did applaud them for having a better vegetarian vampire than Twilight. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c99NfY7S1aA

  2. Yesterday I saw that Citizen of the Galaxy has been made into a comic book and showed him the three issues. He said it was one of the few times that there was a faithful adaptation to his books. He also caught the little easter egg at the begininng.

    COTG-IDW-Act-1-Cover-581x1000.jpg

It is distributedy by IDW I thoroughly reccommend it to anyone who can get a copy.

  3. Other Space: Its okay..... I was hoping for funnier from the guy who made "Freaks and Geeks" but it does have some funny moments, so far my favorite is from episode 3

Joel Hodgson: C'mon, I thought I was hanging with a big dog magnetic man with big dog magnetic balls.

Trace Beaulieu : You aaaare! They're huuuuuuge!!!!!

  4. Wayward Pines looks interesting, but M. Night Shyamalan is involved which makes me wary.

The trailers make it look like it is trying to be Twin Peaks. So much so that I wondered if the original script was called Twin Pines but was changed due to confusion with the mall from Hill Valley or Dipper and Mabel.

If Shyamalan tries to remake The Prisoner I will weep.

  5. It's also completely unenforceable.

The ESRB and PEGI were created to help consumers make purchasing decisions, and retail can enforce restrictions on sale, but there are zero laws (and never will be) stating that you will be arrested if your kid plays an 18+ game.

I know librarians have a bill of rights that would not let a librarian get arrested if they did not censor books from children. I wonder if there is a gamers bill of rights.

  6. Such as Michael Bay's Armageddon.

    Some recommendations.

The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie
    Contempt
    Rififi
    Le deuxième souffle
    Army of Shadows
    Diabolique
    The Blood of a Poet
    La Jetée
    The Red Balloon

Thank you for recommending The Blood of a Poet. I did not understand it but the movie did make me imagine pretty far out stuff. For that I applaud Cocteau. Of course since the review of A Talking Cat!?! I keep getting Cocteau and De Coteau mixed up.

  7. Considering this was posted roughly the same time that "A Talking Pony!?!" came out I am even more convinced you guys are running "The Amazing World of Gumball." Both shows have a talking goldfish, Wylie E. Coyote, and a critique on birds to show a concussion.

  8. I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that they are negotiating with the Akiva Goldsmith who wrote "Batman and Robin" and "Winters Tale" not the Goldsmith of "A Beautiful Mind."

Considering I find A Beautiful Mind to be pretty wretched, I don't see much of a difference outside one of those won an Oscar for some reason.

I enjoyed "A Beautiful Mind" but absolutely hated "A Winters Tale." Lets see I am taking a look on his IMDB page and found that he also wrote the Screenplay for the 1998 "Lost in Space movie." He also worked on "I Robot" a movie I thought was okay until I read the original book. "I am Legend" and his current project is... (Steps away from the computer to the bathroom)

  9. I was also thinking about Mr. Bergstrom when best teachers were being listed, even though I forgot his name until mentioned above.

Jaime Escalante: Takes high school students who could not perform above a fourth grade level and got them to pass advanced calculus exams. He talks a overbearing parent out of expelling their gifted daughter, and she ends up being one of the highest scores. He convinces another student not to quit and he pulls through even though he goes through a nervous breakdown after a long cram session.

For worst teacher I though of Miss Simian from for being a mashup of Edna Krabuppel and Miss Wormwood.

Mr. Small : he is a bad hippie Stereotype and his students learn something completely different from what they need.

For Worst Principal I had Principal Brown: because he faked his diploma to become principal. His work is usually run more by his relationship with Miss Simian than by his responsibilities. He is also a pushover, the often passive Gumball has been able to boss him around when showing a little bit of confidence.
