  1. yep, your up Yoda. Thanks for pinning it.

I'd add a fourth rule, this should go without saying, but do not Google the answer. You either know it or you don't, looking up the answer online is cheap and ruins the fun of these games. Obviously noone will know if you did or not, so we're just going by the honor code here.

  2. As I said in the PM, I really enjoy this video. The intro (with everyone shutting the windows and the close-up of Donovan) and the portion where the action and music really kick in (the 50 second mark) had me pumped.

After seeing that video, I must own these DVDs.

    The music vidoe was great.

And Yoda you should get these dvds, the anime was fucking great.

PS. James, have you ever thought about using some vidoe from the shitty american cartoon series of Darkstalkers. :D

  3. I voted Toots. I just thought it was funny that she loved the elf but couldn't see how obviously he was gay. Plus the scene when she cut off her head and then flashed him was funny.

Am I the only one that thought Clara's french monster vagina was a funny one time only character.

  4. Consider this (part 01): If Pyro uses gasoline in his tanks, he's screwed. Why? Unleaded gasoline has a certain percentage of water. Since Johnny can also lower temperatures, all he has to do is lower it enough to freeze the water in the gas, and the tanks are useless. However, if Pyro uses another sort of fuel, this might not work.

He can reduce objects' temperatures (if they are in a normal range for existing on Earth's surface) to about 30 F.

30 degrees F isn't cold enough to freeze gas.

  5. As crappy as it was, I found myself oddly drawn to The Power Team. Anyone else remember this? It featured some kid, Kwirk (from the GB game of the same name), Bigfoot (the truck), the cop from NARC (how did they get away with that?), some muscle guy from some wizardry game, a basketball player, and Mr. Big (again, from NARC).

I'd really like to see some old episodes, 'cause it would be worth the laugh.

Holy cow! I remember that show, it was worth a laugh, if nothing else.

  6. The Zelda series, which I barely remember as I'm both 19 and in the UK where it wasn't often repeated, I remember being cringeworthy even at the age of 6. "Ex-cuse me, Princess"  <_<

Most people don't realize this, but there are two Zelda games based on that shitfest of a cartoon. Because they were such flops (and not produced by Nintendo), The Big N disowns them.

I remember those games. Link looked horribly wierd on the Phillips CD-I.

  7. Rumor has it that the PSP will hit the US in-time for Christmas. Trust me, Sony will not miss the holiday, not if it's out in Japan.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think that was Sony's plan all along, wait till Nintendo showed their hand for the DS, before announcing a PSP launch date. Personnaly, cosidering just how many games they showed for it at TGS, it doesn't surprise me that we may get it this year.

  8. Sony released the information for launch titles also:

AI Series Go (Marvelous Interactive, Board)

AI Series Mahjong (Marvelous Interactive, Board)

AI Series Shogi (Marvelous Interactive, Board)

Armored Core Formula Front (From Software, Mecha Action)

    Dokodemo Issyo (Sony, Interaction)

    Dynasty Warriors (Koei, Action)

    Hot Shots Golf (Sony, Golf)

    Kollon (Cyber Front, Puzzle)

Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy (Bandai, RPG)

    Lumines (Bandai, Puzzle)

    Mahjong (Koei, Board)

    Mahjong Kakuto Club (Konami, Board)

    Metal Gear Acid (Konami, Card)

    Mojipittan (Namco, Puzzle)

Need for Speed Underground Rivals (EA, Racing)

    Puyo Puyo Fever (Sega, Puzzle)

    Puzzle Bobble Pocket (Taito, Puzzle)

Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory (Hudson, Action-RPG)

    Ridge Racers (Namco, Racing)

Tiger Woods PGA Tour (EA, Golf)

Vampire Chronicle: The Chaos Tower (Capcom, 2D Fighting)

The ones in bold are the one's I'm most excited about.

For the price of 26,040 yen including tax ($244), consumers will be able to pick up the PSP Value Pack, which includes the following peripherals:

AC adapter (3,675 yen separately, or $34)

Battery pack (5,040 yen separately, or $47)

32-megabyte Memory Stick Duo (2,940 yen separately, or $27.50)

Headphones with remote control (2,940 yen separately, or $27.50)

Soft case and hand strap (2,100 yen separately, or $20)

Some people may bitch about the price, but considering the extras you get, it's a good deal, and falls below the 300 dollar price tag some people thought just the unit would cost by itself.

  9. To tell you that the Punisher is going to be infiltrating and breaking down a criminal organization who do real bad things.  The guy at the center of it is going to be a family man with a wife and 2 kids.  So he’s going to be confronted with taking out the guy and taking food out of these kids’ mouths.

Yeah, cause the head of a criminal organisation is living paycheck to paycheck...

    Wooo, 100th post!

  10. I don't know, I see the PSP actually putting up a good fight in the handheld market.

That's from ignorance/fan boyism. There is no logical reason for the PSP to do well in the handheld market.

So being optimistic about a new system is considering fanboyism, where as you saying it has no chance in competeing with the gameboy isn't.....

  11. Sony, because I would love the irony of Nintendo working for the company that was originally suppose to develope the successor for the SNES, until Nintendo decided to go with their own creation in the N64, thereby creating the competition that led them to their demise.

Plus, I've kinda been wanting Sony to have their asses handed to them since they crushed Sega. Though really, that's what the PSP is for.

I don't know, I see the PSP actually putting up a good fight in the handheld market.

  12. Stupidest Fuckin idea ever.  Then again it can't be worse than some of the other sequels, right...

I've never seen TCM2, so I can't comment on that. But I did see 3 and OH! was that bad!

OH snap, I remember the trailer for that movie. One of the funniest, in a bad way, trailers I have ever seen. Scene opens up to a man standing next to a lake, sorrounded by scenic beauty, when out of nowhere a chainsaw starts raising up from the water, and then a dead hand tosses it at the man who grabs it out of the air, starts it up and turn around to reveal leatherface, so bad it's laughable.

Have you ever seen the fourth one? Now that was the worst sequel of the bunch in my opinion.
