  1. Never did I say their healing factors weren't as strong. It was never addressed in the book. I said, "... we can assume that maybe Logan and Hulk's healing factors aren't as strong...." MZ was meant to be a fun romp, nothing more. Many things were left unexplained. For one, how did Vision become a zombie?

Well I never really read it, but its something I'd like to check out. I haven't a clue how vision could become a Zombie, he dosen't have any organic parts he's all robot, but I guess we can assume he did :P

  2. You've never heard of Peter Porker: Spider-Ham?!

Anyway, since Marvel Zombies was set on an alternate Earth with subtle differences (i.e. Colonel America was president), we can assume that maybe Logan and Hulk's healing factors aren't as strong as they are in 616.

No actually I haven't man that was really lame. Speaking of lame the whole fact that thier healing factors aren't as strong kind of ruins the fun of it. It'd be better if our favorite characters were equal to the 616 counterparts.

  3. Jason is canonically refered to as a zombie from part 6 onward.

Michaels Myers is just a very durable human.

Jason can't really be a zombie since he died as a kid, but now kills as a dead man. here has to be more to it then that. As for Myers in the first 2 he was human with a never quit kind of attitude. After that though I really don't know because I've only seen bits and pieces of the other ones.

Jason gets rather foggy in places because he supposedly "died" as a kid, but then showed up full grown in Part 2, and was portrayed as nothing more than a very strong human until he died again in part 4. He stayed dead, just as a human would, until the lightning bolt brought him back as a zombie in 6. From that point on, he's clearly portrayed as slow moving and unable to die (since he's already dead).

The big gap in the logic is, how the hell did he go from 9 year old corpse, to full grown mongaloid in the span of a few months? There was never any straight explaination for this, though there are two things to consider.

    1) The ending scene in Part 1 with young Jason coming out of the water never happened, and was just a dream.

    2) If you want to consider Jason Goes to Hell canon (most fans, including myself, don't), they said that he was possessed by an alien, which would explain how his body grew and matured after he died the first time.

Also, a funny thing to note. After his death in part 4, Jason was supposed to be cremated, but his FATHER intervened to pay for the burial. This is funny since Jason's father has never been mentioned or seen in any of the movies, and was only used to explain the scenerio in which Jason was allowed to come back.

EDIT: To add to the confusion, Wiki says that Jason never actually drowned in the lake, and it was revealed in Part 2 that he'd been living as a hermit in the woods.

In conclusion, no one, not even the people that made the movies, know what the hell he's supposed to be.

Ok so basically he didn't die as a kid lived as a hermit then took revenge on people after his mothers death (who basically was revenging his supposed death) untill he finally died. Then he was ressurected as a zombie after a lightning strike and has been ever since.

I thought Jason goes to hell the entity was a demon? And surprisingly I don't hate that movie.

  4. The new Final Fantasy game comes out on Tuesday. Is anyone else excited about the impending release? I can honestly say I haven't been this psyched about a game in quite a while and have been looking forward to XII's release for a long time now.

I haven't seen much about it but with two kids the wallets lighter these days and video games are far from my mind. Is there anything really new in it?

  5. I voted for Final Fantasy X. There is just so much to do and enjoy and has one of the better endings in a video game...

    (spoilers)

...when you find out not just one but two main charcters were already dead. After 40 plus hours of playing you get emotionally attached to the characters so you actually care. I didn't cry though...I swear it was just a little dust thats all...

Edited by James to emphasize the spoiler warning.

  6. A minigame the developers had wanted to include was the ability to have fully clothed sex with your various in-game girlfriends, but they decided against it at the last minute. However, the content was left hidden on the discs and was unlocked by an intrepid hacker. He called the unlocked data "hot coffee" because your girlfriends would ask you inside for some coffee.

The ensuing shit storm cost everyone involved major money, as every copy had to be recalled and redistributed with the "offending" data removed. It's also forcing developers to erase all of the extra / unused data from future games so nothing like this happens again. Opponents of video games now want all data, even unused portions, to be considered when the ESRB determines ratings.

It's kind of muck-up huh? How can that Grandma sue anyway considering that the product was bought for someone who is below the age of it's rating? Honestly the patch dosen't sound so bad and easily you can see all those things in a rated r movie. Worse even.

Take-Two dealt setback with Hot Coffee lawsuit

10/29/2006 5:22:08 PM, by Eric Bangeman

A federal judge has handed Take-Two Interactive a setback in its fight against one of the lawsuits filed after the Hot Coffee incident. Ruling in a case filed by 86-year-old grandmother Florence Cohen, Judge Shirley Wohl Kram denied Take-Two's attempt to bar Cohen's lawsuit from seeking class-action status.

Cohen sued Take-Two after buying Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for her 14-year-old grandson. Apparently untroubled by the violent nature of the videogame, she was disturbed by the sexual content unlocked via the Hot Coffee mod and sued Take-Two, accusing the developer of violating consumer protection laws by misrepresenting the game's content.

Cohen seeks class-action status for her lawsuit, which would allow all of those who bought GTA: SA prior to the disclosure of the Hot Coffee mod and subsequent recall of the game to join in the litigation. There have been four other cases filed in federal court making the same allegations, and Take-Two is fighting to keep them from being consolidated into a single, class-action lawsuit.

In her opinion, Judge Wohl Gram wrote that "If class certification is granted, the Court will have the benefit of a well-defined class and a more fully developed treatment of potential choice of law questions. As such, the Court will be in a better position to analyze the various laws that are actually at issue in the instant case and to determine whether the Class has standing to assert claims arising thereunder."

Judge Wohl Gram will make the determination on whether Cohen's lawsuit will be class-action status at some point in the future.

Beyond Cohen's lawsuit, Take-Two still has a couple of other pieces of unfinished business relating to the Hot Coffee mod. A Manhattan grand jury is investigating the Hot Coffee patch and has issued subpoenas to Take-Two with an eye towards possible criminal charges. Out in California, the company is battling a civil suit filed the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office that accuses Take-Two of unfair business practices by not disclosing GTA: SA's sexual content and avoiding an AO: Adults Only rating.

I'm not all that familiar with the hot cofee stuff. Is it something the devolpers purposedly put in there or what?

  8. Pinhead.

It would come down to him and Jason. Pinhead would tear Jason apart and put him back together for eternity. It wouldn't be pretty.

Freddy is dead but Pinhead is an outright fucking demon!

Yea this makes sense to me. My vote goes to Pinhead

  9. Jason is canonically refered to as a zombie from part 6 onward.

  10. From Superhero Hype:

First he named Spider-Man, then he defeated Spidey as a theater usher, and now he gets to play a villain? Film Ick is reporting a rumor that Bruce Campbell may be playing Quentin Beck (aka Mysterio) on the set of a Spidey movie being made within Spider-Man 3. The site says that Avi Arad and Sam Raimi will have cameos as the producer and director of the film.

If you go back a couple pages you'll see that I actually said this back in June.

That would be cool if its true. Bruce Campbell is the man

  11. I like it, sort of.

I REALLY like it because I feel that the Ultimate universe should be significantly different from the regular universe. Like Sabretooth started out as a big blond version of Wolverine in the Ultimate universe, then they turned him randomly back into the more beastial version, and it sucked.

Whether he'll work as a character or not remains to be seen. Probably will though. Since apparently he's Wolverine, and people fucking love Wolverine.

I haven't followed it in a while (like around ish 20), so are you saying cable is wolverine in the ultimate reality?
