Is anybody else thinking that Peter and Sylar are the opposites of each other, both can copy powers and both have a hard on for being special.
They both had lives that they felt were unfufilled and both believed they were destined for something more.
I bet that as the series goes on Peter will learn to control or retain other heroes powers.
Yeah...I was thinking the same thing. They even look alike!
It is now safe to say that Sylar can learn at an incredible speed, heal at an incredible speed and control the future as well as telekinesis.
How do you stop him?
Hiro.
Um how can he he control the future? Since it hasn't been stated yet i'm thinking he protected himself from the fall with his TK, because if he can heal fast he wouldn't have been stumbling when Eden and the Haitian caught him.

What did you guys think of this week's episode? I thought it was awesome the way they went into the past for everyone, and not just Hiro. I'm guessing Sylar can take other people's powers when he fixes(kills/possibly eats) their brain. So are we to assume that Clair's dad has a power since the girl's power didn't work on him, or was it because the Hatian guy was in the room?
It's the Haitian remember in the bar when he first took Matt, Matt couldn't read his mind. My guess is that the Haitian can negate powers. He is imposing to, I'd be a little freaked out if I saw him standing in the street. The only important thing we see with this ep is Sylar. Now we know why he takes peoples brains and that he can get other people's powers. He's killed nine people so he's got some powers we haven't seen yet. Does anyone remember if the book that Hiro gave the dinner chick is the same one she had when they first met? If it's a different one then i'm cool with how they handled Hiro's time travel.

I've been reading it, its pretty cool. The main book is really good so I won't spoil it for anybody thats not reading it.
Of the mini's, Ronan is the worst while Nova and Super Skrull are the best. While the Drax mini from a couple of years back isn't part of Annihilation its required reading.
The funny thing about the Ronan mini is that it did nothing for the character, yet in the main book he is one of the best characters along with Nova and Drax. Plus Firelord rules.
Is there a list for the order the comics should be read? I want to know what I should get first.

Of that list the only one I see buying for myself is the Wii. Mainly the price is nice for a next gen console on launch.

As i've been reintroducing myself to comics and getting familair with what is going on I've stumbled on to this storyline. Is anybody reading this? It sounds like it's good and easier to get since it's all mini's so if anyone is reading it let me know!

It is entirely possible Peter didn't save the right cheerleader, forcing Hiro and Ando to go back in time to fix things. Or Hiro and Ando may still visit the high school (they're in Texas, after all) in the episode after next (since the next one takes place six months ago).
I agree to an extent, just a little worried but we will see!

Now the only thing I;m really worried about is Hiro's time travel. It's evident that he changed the time stream since no one knew who Hiro was when he first went to the dinner and afterwardthe lady at the counter knew who he was so why didn't he save the girl?

Of course ya know he could still time travel? I'm just worried how they will cover this if it's anything but her saying something along the lines of 'What's done is done don't change things on my account'(Well hopefully the writers come up with something better then that drivel) I will be very upset. They've already set the precendent that things can be changed (ie Iaasic's paintings of the future the one where Claire had been killed was changed thanks to Peter's actions, and the fact that Ando and Hiro were in the paintings but didn't go) so if they give some bs that what's happened can't be changed because it's all ready happened i'll be quite pissed. Well we will see on Monday!!!

First you have to consider that Peter doesn't always know what power he's absorbed. Until he fell and survived, he had no idea Claire's power would save his life. Second is that he doesn't know how to control them. Even around Nathan, Peter can barely fly. Being around Sylar would give Peter TK powers, but not the knowhow when it comes to throwing lockers and lifting people in the air. Third is that we don't know how many powers he can absorb / mimic at once. I personally believe it to be one, though it could change as he grows stronger. Since he already had Claire's healing factor, Peter couldn't mimic Sylar's TK until Claire faded from his system.
I actually think he did have Sylar's Tk without realizing it. Didn't it seem strange that Sylar was throwing lockers at him and none hit peter?

Oh yeah...now that we're way beyond spoilers here: Lana is pregnant with Lex's kid.
I'm not a hundred percent sure it's Lex's, she's having strange complications i.e. piercing headaches and fainting spells...Oh and since it sounds like you missed it Lex proposed to her at the end of the show.
J'onn J'onzz is addicted to Chocos, an Oreo-like cookie.Issue #24 of the Martian Manhunter series from the 1990s focuses on this by telling an imaginary tale where J'onn turns into a Hulk-like creature when his cookies are stolen by Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. It's one of the funniest comics I've ever read.

Yea I wa going to post something over at the Oratory but was like meh. Anyway what is up with the oreo's? I remembering saying to the wife "I don't know whats with the oreo's" I didn't even realize that he was Martian Manhunter...I didn't think he was the killing type, but I know very little about him.

New Avengers #25 SPOILERS ahead!
So the rumors are true: if all goes as planned, Tony Stark will be the new director of SHIELD post-Civil War. That should be very cool, especially with Hulk coming back soon.
I thought he turned it down in Iron Man 13? What happened to Fury?

After looking at it for a bit, I'm convinced that is not Mandarin. There are 3 green guys, and 1 green woman, and in one screenshot you can see all 4 of them in the background with a hand coming out of the ground with a ring on it. Unfortunately, you can't see what color the hand is.
Yea I guess they are the four elements. Whew because that was my biggest problem if they made the Mandarin a green monster looking dude...

It's been said before that if Parker ever got serious, his intelligence would rival that of Richards/Stark. Also, thanks to Thor's death, Doom is back.
Sure Doom's smart, but not smarter then Reed. I mean Doom blew up his own face...I'm sure spidey could be as smart as or smarter then Stark if he got serious but he's not in Reed's league.
I think alot of people underestimate Doom's intelligence, remember, this is a guy that has created inventions that were the first of thier kind, some Reed couldn't create.
I know Doom's smart, but the easiest proof that I have that Reed is smarter is that incident. Reed saw his equations recognized something was wrong, and Doom(I have way too much pride) blew it off and subsequently blew off part of his face. I'm just saying that proves Reed is slightly smarter then Doom. Only slightly though...

One of my favourite What If?s had Wolvie as the undead prince of the vampires. Loved it, especially the Punisher with Dr. Strange's paraphenelia.
That story was visited twice:
24: What if Wolverine was lord of the vampires?
37: What if Wolverine had been lord of the vampires during Inferno?
I own both of them. I have so many what if's...it's a little crazy...

My FF would be all about the sci-fi and universe spanning adventures:
-Dr. Doom-leader, genius rivaling Richards and a huge power level
-Namor-a history with both the FF and Doom as well as an entire army of Atlanteans backing him make this a perfect choice. He may sit out on the universe-spanning stuff.
-She-Hulk-once a member...
-Silver Surfer-the powerhouse.
Mine all tie into FF continuity and would make for some interesting interactions. some reserves:
-Wyatt Wingfoot-still alive?
Why would Dr. Doom want to play good guy? Man that would be such a wacky team, and would make it a fun read. Could you imagine Doom ordering Namor around? Or the Surfer? Hell when Silver Surfer turns his back on him Doom will try to steal his powers again...
