    Episode 12

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick battles the stomach flu to get the show done before disaster strikes his digestive tract. Novel month continues on, featuring great interviews with F. Paul Wilson (The Keep, the Repairman Jack series) and Mark Justice (Deadneck Hootenanny, Dead Earth: The Green Dawn, host of Pod of Horror). Plus, Des reviews Horrors of War, a new period horror film. E-mails and messages are answered, and the following terrifying tunes are played: "Jangling Jack" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, "Inferno" by Miranda Sex Garden, "The Exorcist" by The Hellacopters and "Dies Irae" by Stories from the Moon. 3. For six months Des and Mike have been discussing Countdown, and it hasn't fared so well. We're now at the halfway point (30, 29, 28, 27 and 26); have their attitudes about DC's weekly series changed? [ 4:02:52 || 111 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/theshow/episodes/e2ts_173.mp3
  4. As it pertains to the fall of Geneon USA, one of the biggest anime distributors in the world, two questions need to be asked. One: Does this mean that all Geneon DVDs are going to be pulled from store shelves? Two: Which company, if any, will grab the titles that are still in production? The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/articles/geneon
  5. In "Sideshow" Killer Croc makes some friends, while someone attempts to murder Detective Harvey Bullock in "A Bullet for Bullock." Next Batman and the new District Attorney go on trial in the aptly named "Trial," and "Avatar" sees the return of Ra's al Ghul. Lastly, Poison Ivy supposedly gives up her life of crime in "House and Garden." [ 2:25:56 || 66.8 MB ] The above is from: http://www.worldsfinestpodcast.com/episodes/wfp_015.mp3
  6. Tim really doesn't like Amazing Spider-Girl #14, and drqshadow feels the same way about Ghost Rider #17. However, they can't stop praising House of M: Avengers #1 and Nova #8. On top of that, they review four more comic books! The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/reviews/c/iiwy/iiwy-019

    Episode 11

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick records amidst a meteorological storm, and overcomes a storm of technical difficulties to bring you another set of novel month interviews. The interviews this week are with Jack Ketchum (Off Season, The Girl Next Door) and Steve Vernon (Hard Roads, Haunted Harbours: Ghost Stories from Old Nova Scotia). Plus, a review of Mike Dubisch's graphic novel Weirdling, news of a friend's short film and the following freaky tunes: "Living Hell" by The Misfits, "Eye of the Storm" by Midnight Syndicate, "Temple of Your Dreams" by Monster Magnet and "Haunted Town" by Lordi. 10. What causes Jenny to fall into another fit of laughter? Mike says the new red Hulk looks like a what? And why should Rob Liefeld's detractors try the new Youngblood series? All these questions (and more) are answered as Jenny and Mike discuss the November Previews! [ 1:06:03 || 30.2 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/theshow/episodes/e2ts_171.mp3
  11. Welcome to a special edition of the Tranquil Tirades. I am James, your ever-sardonic host. If you haven't read one of my columns before, basically what I do is I review a movie that I felt was, shall I say, subpar and rip it asunder. My pain is your gain. Well, this review is no different in that vein. The reason this one is special is that this is the first edition of the Tirades that I have conducted with a co-host. Thankfully, D.W. was kind enough to sacrifice himself (and his brain) to me for a special joint review of Saw IV. The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/reviews/m/saw-04
  12. This is it, the final part of my If I Ran DC series. In this portion of the article I'll tackle some of DC's biggest comic books, including Justice League, Justice Society of America, Superman and Wonder Woman. Who's writing and drawing what, and what two characters have I (sort of) brought back to life? The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/articles/if-i-ran-dc-04
  13. Some have called him "immortal," but even Iron Fist must face death head-on. Art: David Aja The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/wallpaper/full/Iron_Fist_001.jpg
  14. The intrepid duo of drqshadow and Tim Glancy are back this week, leaving in their wake seven reviews of comic books that won't be released until Wednesday. Included are Howard the Duck #2, Immortal Iron Fist #8 and Omega: The Unknown #2. The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/reviews/c/iiwy/iiwy-018
  15. Of the five comics Des and Mike reviewed this week (Astonishing X-Men #23, Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #33, Ms. Marvel #21, Mystic Arcana: Sister Grimm and Silver Surfer: In Thy Name #1), they greatly disagreed on two. In fact, in response to Mike's love for one of the comics, Des said, "I'm shocked this book isn't cancelled yet." Ouch! Episode 10

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick races against time and rings in novel month with interviews of Greg Lamberson (Personal Demons and Johnny Gruesome) and Keith Latch (A Ghost Story and Cemetery Things). Hear what these writers have to say about their craft, their work and tons of other good stuff like B movies and prisons! Tunes include "Gruesome" from the Johnny Gruesome album and "Pale Skin Diva" by Ghoultown. [ 1:06:14 || 30.3 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/dreadmedia...admedia_010.mp3
  17. As they review Saw IV, Jenny and Mike explore the two major plot holes in the film, but they aren't what you think. [ 2:02:00 || 55.8 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/theshow/episodes/e2ts_169.mp3
  18. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa! If this review series is entitled Is It Wednesday Yet?, why are these reviews hitting the site on Thursday? Simply put, the two reviews you're going to read today had a press embargo placed on them. For the uninformed, a press embargo is when your source asks you to hold onto certain information (in this case, reviews) until a certain date. Due to the fact that the following two comics play major parts in Marvel's forthcoming landscape, one can understand their position: they didn't want spoilers to leak in the days before the books actually hit the shelves. What books did Tim and drq review this week? Annihilation: Conquest - Quasar #4 and X-Men: Messiah Complex. The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/reviews/c/iiwy/iiwy-017
  19. After taking two weeks to look at how I'd oversee DC's various imprints, today I'll cover 12 comics in DC's core universe. Some, I guarantee, will shock you, and I'm expecting hate mail due to a certain omission. What book did I leave off this A to G list? Read on to find out! The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/articles/if-i-ran-dc-03
  20. This week your friendly hosts took a break from Batman: The Animated Series (sort of). Instead of covering five episode of the show that launched the DC Animated Universe, they discussed the first (and only) DCAU theatrical release. Oh yes, it's Batman: Mask of the Phantasm! [ 2:26:08 || 66.8 MB ] The above is from: http://www.worldsfinestpodcast.com/episodes/wfp_014.mp3
  21. Here we are again with five more early comic book reviews. This time Des and Mike cover Daredevil Annual #1, Iron Man #23, Mythos: Fantastic Four, Sub-Mariner #5 and Ultimate Power #8. Though they agree on most of the books, one of the issues has them at different ends of the spectrum. [ 51:09 || 23.4 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/theshow/episodes/e2ts_168.mp3

    Episode 09

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick features Cannibal Flesh Riot, the short film by Gris Grimly. Ben triumphantly returns for another Roadkill Review; this time he and Desmond talk about 30 Days of Night on the drive home from the theater. Which one of them is out of his mind? You'll have to listen to find out. Plus, tunes include "I Eat the Dead" by Psycho Charger, "The Wrong Way Out" by The Death Riders and "Monster Mash" by The Misfits. 23. Earth-2.net: The Show is two years old! To celebrate, Jenny and Mike recap JemCon 2007, and then they review 30 Days of Night. And who's that with a review of 300? Why, it's Ian Wilson! [ 1:43:19 || 47.2 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/theshow/episodes/e2ts_167.mp3

  25. Last time in If I Ran DC I told you how I would oversee the creation of Showcase, a new DC imprint. Today I'll make my patented changes to two existing imprints: Vertigo and Wildstorm. The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/articles/if-i-ran-dc-02
