I think Jungle Boy is inevitable at this point - Sammy is being teased as the next opponent and I don't see that being dragged out through to Full Gear given that it's 6-7 weeks away, despite my ideal booking scenario. Damn you, Fuego Del Sol!!

I like Wyatt's mind for the business, but WWE didn't book it as it needed for proper success (granted, as with most booking input from wrestlers, it involves lengthy winning streaks). I don't want to see him in AEW but I imagine he could do wonders in somewhere like Impact or NWA - ROH probably demand a higher workrate, although in the grand scheme of things, they should be lucky to get anyone.

Blade Runner. Both films offer fascinating insights into humanity from a sci-fi POV. But Blade Runner has a plot and characters to drive along the story, with a career-defining performance from Rutger Hauer. 2001 is just the wrong side of pretentious, although everything I said above rings true for it - I use it as a gateway on my Flickchart. If a film is very good to me, but has no ambition, subtext or something else that makes it stand out, it cannot surpass 2001.

I'm refusing to get *too* carried away by the news as the smart money is on him signing a part time deal with WWE for huge money as he plays out the autumnal years of his career.
The sliver of hope I do hold is that the wrestler in him is itching to have some dream matches outside of WWE before he retires, which doesn't neccessarily means he signs for New Japan or AEW, but has some kind of farewell indie tour.

The honest answer is that Wizard is due for a rewatch in light of HAA! and I’ve only seen 2001 once and it was about ten years ago (in fact, both are now currently on why watchlist for HBO Max, which I got last week).
Even if I end up liking 2001 next time, though, it’s extremely unlikely I’d rank it anywhere near Wizard in terms of quality, soul, or legacy.
I've said before - in the Nolan Flickchart Forum if memory serves, so you were there - that 2001 is pretentious wank. And whilst I stand by that, it is also a hugely layered film and I can see why it's so influential and revered. The lack of dialogue helps & hinders it, but it's the ending that gets my goat over everything else. But I'd give it props for quality, soul, or legacy.
Wizard of Oz, well, the podcast will be edited later this week. Don't get me wrong; I don't slate it, but I was less impressed with this most recent viewing.

Oh, no, I'm wrong - Nolan Bat films. Begins: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Rutger Hauer. TDK: Same, but substitute Hauer for Heath Ledger. Then again, HAA was never going to cover either film due to The Dark Knight Discussions series, so probably still Ghostbusters.

Hey, comics readers - riddle me this.
I'm currently watching through the first season of the 90s Spider-Man series (THAT season, not the 35 that followed) and I've watched the Scorpion origin story. Now in both the cartoon and, according to wikipedia re: the comics origin, Jameson basically turned Gargan into the Scorpion to take down Spider-Man. So my question: has Jameson EVER been jailed/held responsible for this, other than Gargan targetting him out of vengeance? You'd think that'd be quite disqualifying for him holding his brief as editor of a newspaper.

Looking for new Forums, people! I feel like the next one should be director-specific, so give me ideas.
NB) Edgar Wright has been mentioned, but he has 7 films proper and the minimum bar is 8 films. I don't want a director with 20+ films, but a happy medium in between would be great.
But non-director ideas would be great too!
