Another great episode guys!
Regarding John Hughes, Molly Ringwald wrote a pretty insightful article a few years ago entitled What About “The Breakfast Club”? that is worth a read. It doesn't delve into the issues Pandy raised with Mr. Mom, but has some good criticisms of his other work and practices. (https://www.newyorker.com/culture/personal-history/what-about-the-breakfast-club-molly-ringwald-metoo-john-hughes-pretty-in-pink)
Also, Muppet and Rocky themed Flickchart Forums are a great idea and I would love to hear them.
That article made for interesting reading, certainly. I appreciate that people write in the context of the time, and the time Hughes wrote in was pretty rough, but whilst I take into account his successes (most of which I haven't watched), I'm not a fan.

Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 79, our subject will be Judy Garland.
Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review by Saturday 27 February so get your ideas in before then!

Granted there has been two “theme years” where he doesn’t qualify, but just realizing that it’s been too long for Jack Nicholson not to have an episode centered around him!
I'm inclined to agree!

Death to 2020: this is a funny mockumentary by the guys who do Black Mirror. It's basically a roast of 2020 featuring Sam Jackson, Leslie Jones, Hugh Grant, Lisa Kudrow, Kumail Nanjiani, Tracey Ullman, the fucking hilarious Diane Morgan and quickly becoming my favourite actress: Cristin Milioti. Really fun. Only 70 minutes.
Diane Morgan did similar schtick for Charlie Booker years beforehand, although her character there was known as Philomena Cunk:

Anecdotally, I was listening to the Cunk audiobook (an encyclopedia that she defines poorly) on my way in to work today. It's a bit UK-centric, and it's 5 hours long so the same type of joke once every 20 seconds for 5 hours does wear thin, but the best observations are legitimately very funny.

I honestly had to hold back tears going through some of the tributes to the guy. I was shocked enough with the news to begin with - it was on the BBC News homepage, which is my browser default homepage - but the tributes from his AEW/WWE colleagues broke me.
You can at least say that when he was Brodie Lee, he challenged for the AEW title, brutally won the TNT title in a sheer spectcale, and lost it, in his last match, in a compelling dog collar match. RIP Mr Huber.

Pandy & I begin to record as soon as he puts his children to sleep, as 2020 is the bleakest of years. In other words, we're recording within the hour and will get to feedback roughly 90 minutes after we start, so if we haven't heard from you by then, your ballot will not be counted and, like Trump, we will ignore your petulant mewlings about how this is unfair.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine: I don't think it's as bad as The Last Stand but it's not great. It does have a great opening sequence though.
Hard disagree, there. The Last Stand was hugely disappointing but it wasn't terrible. X-Men Origins: Wolverine by contrast IS terrible.

I think that's a relatively safe bet - I've seen Cody refute plans for a 3 hour Dynamite on Twitter before (pre-lockdown).

I believe the offending word in "Word Crimes" is "spastic", which is not really on the radar here in the US, but I understand is VERY not okay in the UK.
That's the one - yeah, that's never been OK since I've been alive. Ian Dury (who was disabled) got into a lot of hot water for his song 'Spasticus Austisticus', which was a solidarity song but wasn't taken that way by the music industry.

Well, promoting her being hired by AEW and giving her the book will coincide with her interests!
I don't know her situation with NWA, NWA's situation and their dynamic with AEW, but they really need someone different than Omega booking the women's division when it only amounts to a single match on Dynamite per week (there's plenty on Dark, but the division deserves more). I'm hoping the oft-rumoured third hour on TV (which I believe is intended to be an additional show rather than a 3 hour Dynamite) will help ease that.

Not sure when I started censoring that word, but it felt like the right thing to do. It's one of those words I use in the UK sense (think Trainspotting), but totally understand why people bristle at it.
In Scotland (in the Trainspotting sense), the c-word is practically a term of endearment and that was legitimately confirmed for me by a Scottish acquaintance (she wasn't saying it to me but it came up in our conversation). I similarly bleep it for HAA, for sensitivity reasons, but I don't cut it out of the podcast wholesale because a) it hurts the flow of the dialogue, and b) 8/10 times there's a reason why it was used, but I still bleep it. On occasion, Pandy used it simply to make editing for me more laborious, although I think that was in the early days. But to his credit, he got uncomfortable with me quoting a line of dialogue from Swing Kids verbatim which used the n-word, and we had a whole outtake about discussing the issue (the word was always going to be bleeped, but the discussion was all about whether or not to cut it) wholesale.
As an aside, it is interesting how nationalities view certain words more harshly. I brought up 'faggot' in a recording with Mike in the last 12 months - not as a slur, but quoting someone for something and I forget the immediate context - and that got bleeped. Conversely, the UK are a lot more sensitive to 'retard/retarded' than the US are, which I found out as a throwaway lyric in a Weird Al parody. And a recent one too (Word Crimes).
TL;DR - there isn't a universal in-house guide as to what to edit out on our podcasts and it's down to the judgment of each individual editor. Mike getting the episode first means that he has the opportunity to listen through and edit out anything he's uncomfortable with before it gets published, but I think it's a given that most of us know to not be deliberately offensive and to mind our Ps and Qs.

Full Gear was a pretty top show, and a big step up from All Out. Top 3 recommends would be Page/Omega, the tag title match and Moxley/Kingston. Also the Matt Hardy cinematic match has some outstanding cameos.

I dunno, there's something very therapeutic about the violent murder of Chris Hardwick in House of a Thousand Corpses
Conversely/equally, it's infuriating watching him and Weird Al Yankovich prank Malcolm McDowell.

The scene in question went on for several minutes (but what felt like an eternity), and in my opinion, was absolutely disgusting, unnecessary, and idiotic. I do not understand why this scene was put to film or what purpose it served. It felt so disgusting to watch, and it really coloured my opinion regarding the rest of the film, knocking it down several positions.
Yes, it is a Rob Zombie movie after all.
And that was the version I watched. But if I had delved too deeply into the Zombie can of worms, it wouldn't have made great content. And bear in mind, this is the best film of Zombie's in my opinion - sort of by default as Halloween II and The Devil's Rejects are right at the foot of my Flickchart, but it isn't as bad as them.

Sad day. For all of Connery's flaws (the wife-beating being the most serious), he was one hell of a screen presence.
Lazenby is now the oldest of the 4 living Bond actors.

For my part, I think Cody's arc up to the dog collar match has been excellent. I don't think winning the title back buries Brodie, nor his wins over Cassidy buries OC's post-Jericho momentum, but I think we're in a holding pattern until Cody's next opportunity comes around.
I say that because he's positioning himself as the RVD of AEW. Which is to say, he doesn't need the main belt to be on the card and would rather explore storylines as the 2nd/3rd billed singles storyline on the card. It helps him, it helps his opponents (see the TNT open challenge) and it frees up space for AEW's main event scene. My own theory is that he loses the title to Darby, turns heel and then looks to work with upcoming faces proper (a full programme with Jungle Boy, Will Hobbs, heck even putting over the upwardly mobile Hangman Page).
At the very least, I think he'll book himself better than his wife books herself. And I say that hoping/without thinking Brandi has full creative control of her character.

Mr BurnsVince McMahon). It isn't perfect but it gave me something to look forward to on a weekly basis.YouTube: Primarily Cultaholic, covering the above and WWE, so that I was aware of what they were doing without having to pay McMahon anything. But I got into Colbert and Seth Meyers in a big way over the election to inauguration coverage, as well as Last Week Tonight. Not James Corden. Never James Corden.
Radio 3: America has country music, which is hilarious. How literally quaint! Despite Brexit trying to gravitate the UK from Europe towards the US, the fact we have a BBC channel for classical musical is a godsend. Much like Mike/Dan/Des talking about comics, the world of classical music is not going to be something I ever truly understand, but I am actually happy enjoying classical music on a surface level without bothering to know about any of the nuance of composition, musicianship and history of recordings throughout the ages.
Gaming: I have an N64 I can't play due to some issue with the technical set-up. Until Pandy can fix this, I have invested a lot of time into TEW - a wrestling simulator. Which is fun in its challenge as I shape my own AEW.
Cooking: I do not enjoy cooking or cookery programmes. That being said, my health is dependant on what I put into my body so I have been learning more recipes in the past 12 months. Specifically when I visited my 100 year old grandmother for two nights in September, I tried out my new Chicken and Mushroom Stroganoff and Creamy Tuscan Shrimp dishes, neither of which I knew how to do in 2019, and they received well enough that I'm probably still in the will.
