  1. Back in the seventies. that was confirmed. Dick Grayson was Batman, while Bruce Wayne Jr. was Robin (Jr due to Talia).
  2. Maybe that was an exaggeration considering I like Wolverine so much. But I can't picture Batman without Bruce Wayne being under the mask. Azrael sucked as the ersatz Batman. Hard for me to explain my Wayne fanboyism. It's your Val Kilmer fetish, isn't it?
  3. In the UK, it's illegal to sell a movie to someone under that age. It's not illegal for them to view it (unless it's R18 - hardcore porn), but it's illegal to sell it to them. I'm not 100% sure what the law is with regards movies in cinema's. But games are retail only, so I figure the same rules as with DVD's works for me. Personally, in the UK, I always thought there wasn't enough notice taken on the age ratings on games.
  4. Yay! An interesting plot thread to be tied up in yet another Claremont masturbatory-egofuck. Woot. If it was anyone - ANYONE - else that was doing this, I'd be interested. Fact is, this wasn't even Claremont's story originally, so it's not even him tying up his loose ends. He's just playing in his own private park, with his toys, as normal. I'll be doubly pissed off if it's revealed to be anybody other than Gambit.
  5. Far more likely to be a temporary thing, or a revelation of a failsafe than anything permenant. Since DC apparently were trying to have Jean Paul Valley be the new Batman for real back in the nineties, the last time they tried it, it was a resounding flop. Besides....it should be Alfred.
  6. I believe that there's about thirteen episodes in the first season, and he's already filmed that.
  7. Sounds fun, but he ain't no...... BATTLEPOPE.
  8. Yeah, it was front page news over here. Basically, Ecclestone (who is generally a very serious actor) has said he doesn't want to be typecast, and so the BBC are making the rumour that they're going to cast the guy from 'Casanova' (BBC show currently showing). Now, a rumour that I've heard from within is that this was the plan all along. The writers wanted to have a regeneration story early on, but the story broke earlier than they were expecting. (For those not in the know, Time Lords have twelve regenerations, which handily explain any cast changes).
  9. And another bump. I will not be the only one that cares about this, I swear it! The pilot episode for the new series has been leaked, and is on various torrent sites. It's well worth it. Here's two reasons why you should care. This is the longest running sci-fi series in history. It pre-dates Star Trek. Also, it's the first new episode (crap movie aside) since 1989.

    Master Yoda

It's your birthday. It's your birthday. Go Yoda, it's your birthday. (imagine me doing the box thing with my hands, a la Chasing Amy)
  11. Note the word 'next' at the bottom of the page. There are far, far more.
  12. Superman. Is. A. Dick. This is awesome.

    What If?

I dislike most of his work because his characters look like they're yelling all of the time, and they're muscles are way too big/out of proportion with reality. Worst of all, his storytelling ability (in words and art) is lacking. That and he never seems to feel like drawing backgrounds. He always does these weird gradients or blast lines, so his books always look like they're happening in one of those blue-screen "make your own music video" stores in the mall. He's just a crappy artist, honestly, who made it big with one hot book and rode it for all it was worth. Plus, he can't draw feet. Seriously, look how often his characters are standing in smoke. The real reason I dislike is the fact that fifteen years ago, he was doing new, interesting stuff. He hasn't bothered to update his style since then. Even his character designs look like early nineties stuff. The new X-Force comic was utterly pathetic. Plus, by all accounts the guy has a huge ego. Yoda - what was the mistake? I'm curious.
  14. Yoda in with the unintentional guilt trip for my lack of columns. I think I shall try and finish the one I have half-done this evening to help contribute, and then start more regularly. I just need to get back in the swing of it.

    What If?

What if? in the eighties and early nineties was sheer class. Rob Liefeld pretty much made his reputation on an issue, called 'What if....Wolverine was an agent of Shield?' Anyone else read that one?
  16. In 'Withnail and I' what is 'I's name?
  17. Some confirmation, please? Yoda?
  18. MirrorMask It's the movie by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean, and dear lord, it looks pretty. It looks pretty as hell. It looks like a moving Dave McKean painting. This movie could be absolutely incredible, and definitely not like anything you've ever seen before.
  19. Sinister Ducks This should arguably go in Web-toons, but it's Alan Moore on vocals, and he wrote it, so I'm putting it here. I now can't get this song out of my head.
  20. Age of Apocalypse was cool as all hell at the time. I really liked it. I was also a huge mark for Gambit, so 'Gambit and the X-Ternals' was great for me. I'll probably collect this. Especially if it has X-Men:Alpha as part of it, which was the highlight of the series for me. Just the image of Bishop climbing the mountain of skulls....wow.
  21. 1 - Moby Dick 2 - The Bible. I'm not sure on the second, but am willing to keep guessing...
  22. Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and basically any X-Men title not written by The Claremont. Powers, Iron Man, all the Ultimate titles, Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine (and I'm loving the new storyline), Daredevil, Strange (which is pretty awesome at the moment), Secret Wars, The Pulse, X-23 (Zoe's, not mine). And that's just Marvel? Damn, I spend too much on comics...
  23. Huge bump. Teaser trailer online.
