  1. So - let me get this straight. Gratuitous nudity/sex scenes from Kate Beckinsale are a bad thing?
  2. Am I the only one who has had difficulty remaining signed in between visits since the change? Each time I reboot my PC, I'm no longer logged in. Any idea why?
  3. Looks like a mid-nineties Rob Liefeld rip-off of Spidey, presumably called 'Spidor' or some such thing. Looks terrible - and this is coming from a fan of the Scarlet Spider and Ben Reilly's Spidey outfit.
  4. It's going to have to be damn, DAMN, good in order to not be known by me as 'Ultraviolet - not the really good vampire thing, the other one'. Don't know what I'm talking about? Check it.
  5. We talking new Doctor Who, or old Doctor Who?
  6. I might just be a little bit of a Doctor Who fan. Bad Wolf.
  7. This is amusing. I want information - NOT, I stress, pictures, but information.
  8. Only got it once, today, when I got on the forums - however, I got there via the link on the main page, which I don't usually do.
  9. I've started getting it too. JS/Wonka? Okay, looked further - Yoda, looks like you've been hacked, dude. Description JS.Wonka is a generic detection of web pages or e-mail messages that contain a certain functionality for encrypting scripts that may have malicious intent. This does not necessarily mean that a virus has been found. It merely means that HTML code was found which attempts to activate additional executable code without the user's express permission. Note: this detection may be triggered by merely visiting a web page that contains malicious code. It does not necessarily mean your machine has been compromised. Removal Instructions If this is being detected in the Temporary Internet Files directory, in order to remove unwanted files from your computer, you will have to remove all off-line content from your PC. The Temporary Internet Files (or cache) folder contains Web page content that is stored on your hard disk for quick viewing. This cache permits Internet Explorer or MSN Explorer to download only the content that has changed since you last viewed a Web page, instead of downloading all the content for a page every time it is displayed. To delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder, follow these steps: 1. In Control Panel, open Internet Options. 2. Click the General tab, and then under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files. 3. In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the Delete all off-line content check box if you want to delete all Web page content that you have made available offline. 4. Click OK.
  10. Space Nuts gets my reccomendation Don't forget 'We cum in peace'.
  11. Just listening now, and thought I'd clear something up for you. It's Frank Quitely pronounced QUITE-ly. It's a take-off on Quite Frankly.
  12. Well, I've seen 'Star Whores', but nothing too hardcore....oh, wait. Sorry, misunderstood the question.
  13. Actually.....read it second. First off, I'd suggest tracking down 'I Feel Sick', which is a great introduction - and then read JTHM to blow your fragile mind.
  14. See, you shouldn't have to do that. Every word should be there for a reason; nothing should be wasted. I agree fully and I never found myself doing it when I was actually sitting down and reading the book in a decent setting. I found myself doing it when re-reading the chronicles. I personally LOVED the depth Rice goes to describe the enviroment. Whereas I think it suited the genre she wrote in previous to horror far better (BDSM Porn). It pretty much destroyed The Vampire Armand for me. The only book I HAVEN'T read of the chronicles...I was always interested slightly but never went out of my way for it. And I can't figure out how BDSM porn could have a need for a detailed setting...but I have heard good things of her stuff in that genre. Her 'Beauty' books - The continuing adventures of Sleeping Beauty, after she travels and becomes a sex slave - are actually quite good. It's all about luxurious slow scenes, and location plays a large part, because it's establishing the fantasy. As a result, her style fits a lot better.

  16. Except, they are nothing at all near that. Sure a lot of New Orleans is mentioned. But to say that the books revolve around that is just assinine. Ah, see, except, my habit of using humour to make points has obfuscated what my point actually is. The New Orleans bit was used more as an example, rather than as the be-all and end-all. What my point actually is, is that Anne Rice has this (to me, really irritating) tendancy to hugely overdo description, at the expense of character and plot. I find reading her novels akin to wading, knee deep, in purple prose. While it's the same thing a lot of people really like about her writing, it's something I can't stand. Occasionally, I'd like her to stop admiring the damn scenery, and get on with the plot.
  17. If you have any questions about Anne Rice, here's my quick sum-up of everything in the Vampire chronicles. 'Here is the history of New Orleans. It is beautiful. Here is the history of the house that I live in in New Orleans. It is beautiful. Here is the history of every house in my street in New Orleans. They are beautiful. Here is a vampire. Back to New Orleans.'
  18. Cash. Hit me up on PM. Have a couple of hours spare, and ask lots of questions.
  19. I *so* want in on that episode. You should do fantasy casting as well.
  20. Night. I'll come back with my reasoning when I have more time.

Yes - one of the most emotionally affecting comics I've read in a long, long time. Plus I don't think anyone has ever nailed talking animals quite so well.
  22. Decisions, decisions.... Do I go for a cheap shot about you wanting to 'team up on me', or a cheap shot about her lacking taste?
  23. I enjoyed this a lot. Big improvement on the first. Someday, invite me into the recording, so I can argue you on that whole 'liking 28 Days Later' thing...
  24. Slight bump.... I finally got round to reading this, and it was fascinating. Helped work fly by recently. I remember the clone saga at the time - I kept up with about half of it, and didn't read the other half. I seem to have been the only person in history who liked the Scarlet Spider costume. Can anyone recommend any similarly in depth articles? I beg for one like this with age of apocalypse, or Onslaught.
