  1. I actually really liked 'Coven', right up until it went more 'avatar' - with special nude covers. Sigh. Scratch was an awesome, AWESOME character. Didn't Churchill work on Uncanny X-Men for like three issues, in a very publicised move?
  2. I'm looking for a penciller to work with me on a project I'm calling 'Redemption', which I am presently scripting. Looking for someone who can vary their styles, and provide a new twist on classic comic art. If you're interested, post here or email me.
  3. From 'Sandman'. 'It is the fools perogotive to point out that the emperor is wearing no clothes. But the fool remains a fool, and the emperor remains an emporer.' Add some more! Doesn't have to be mature readers, just good quotes.
  4. I wasn't a fan in the past, but I think he's meshed really well with Stracynski - he seems to enjoy doing different things with his art now, and it's good. Spidey is doing poses he's never done before, and I think this is down to Stracynski giving Romita Carte Blanche.
  5. Chronologically, Squee is straight after JTHM. I feel sick comes later.
  6. Anyone read this? It's by the guy that wrote Invader Zim. It's about Johnny. Johnny is a homicidal maniac. He has to keep the wall in his basement painted with blood, otherwise the demons will get through. The bad news? He's right. The sequel was called SQUEE!. It's about Johnny's neighbour. A small child called Squee. Squee is scared of everything. And he has good reason to be. Seriously, if you like Invader Zim, you HAVE TO, HAVE TO, HAVE TO read this. If you like comics and gothic funny stuff, you really should read it as well.
  7. I've not read it yet, but it sounds intriguing. Who's the publisher? Fancy giving us more information?
  8. Make mine Vertigo. But failing that, and concentrating on what most people think of when they hear DC/Marvel, make mine Marvel all the way.
  9. Finished it, but that was pretty awesome.
  10. I agree with you about the character development bit, but I'm a sucker for Huge Moments, and Season of Mists delivered those.
  11. Isn't Henri Ducard the guy that helped train a young Bruce Wayne? He's an assassin, isn't he? If he's the one I'm thinking of, he's a fantastic character, and Neeson would be awesome. It was in a story where Bruce got a device that let him tap into other people's brains and control them, because he'd been shot. I didn't dream all this, did I?
  12. It's a different book. Think 'Johnny The Homicidal Maniac', and you've got a rough idea.
  13. Warren Ellis rocks. I remember spending months on his forum, where he was the head mod. That was awesome. You think pissing off Xavier was bad? Nothing compared to the fury of Ellis.
  14. Heathen. John Constantine is not Ghost Rider. The comic is called Hellblazer - it's fantastic, go and buy it. And Cage was also up for playing Iron Man. Poor comic book geek...
  15. You know he did a mini-series spin off, right?
  16. What was the first comic series done by a major publisher to involve the word 'Fuck'?
  17. In order that they got to, before one of the X-men movies did it for them.
  18. Hi Yarrick. Thanks for joining us - and if you go back to the mainpage, and scroll down, you'll see a section called What If, which is dedicated to this very subject. Have fun on it.
  19. Keifer Sutherland? Can I have whatever you're smoking please? It should have been Tim Roth. Or Gary Oldman. Or...at a push...Nicholas Cage. Although my personal weird casting choice for this one is Kenneth Brannagh.
  20. No, it was From Hell, but someone got that on the other thread, so I'll let you start one.
  21. Dude it had all you could ever want in a comic Monkeys Fucking Violence Monkey fucking Monkey Violence Monkeys violently fucking. What more do you need? I said weird, not bad. Personally, I loved the mad monkey fucking issue, but I can see why people got turned off by it. People don't like to have to think about their comics, and Bendis made people do that with this one. Plus, hey! Monkey fucking! It rocks!
