  1. Not to play devils advocate, but you could make an argument for Nintendo buying Sony's gaming division, if it ever on the off chance wanted to get out of gaming. It would never happen, but that would be the only way.

I love Jack's idea of Nintendo building games for phones, but some people would see that as a partial white flag maybe?

  2. The Wii was awesome and filled a niche outside of the PS3 and XBox, but now that they offer similar experiences, what is Wii's point of difference? And with the DS, how much better does it have to be to warrant people carrying that and a mobile? It's great for kids that don't have phones yet, but that's a small market.

If Sony weren't also losing money, Nintendo could be an interesting take over for it, based purely on the character library.

  3. Sorry, one more bit. If you are annoyed or upset with how Hulk has been treated in film to this point, you have to see this movie. Ruffalo is amazing as Banner, and Hulk is given so much more than the previous "love story/someone trying to kill him", treatment that he's had in the past.

  4. Just wrote out my thoughts but lost the tab in Chrome!!! So it's the short version now and will add thoughts later.

Saw it last night and it's even BETTER than you think it's going to be. The teasers, trailers and vignettes don't even scratch the surface, so watch as much of those as you like. Whedon fan boys will be saying I told you so about this guy a shot at a big movie.

The post credits teaser is not at the end, but after the main stars credits are shown. So don't feel you have to wait until the end, there wasn't anything there.

Not going to write any spoiler type reviews, because there are so many and I don't want any of you to be tempted to read them only for them to ruin those bits for you.

Everyone has to go and see this movie, it is that good. If it doesn't break every box office record, I'd be amazed.

  5. Mallrats: This is a weird follow-up to Clerks. It has its moments, but I can't get over the fact that the protagonists are dicks. It's only by virtue of the fact that each is given a more unlikeable antagonist that they wind up as the de facto good guys. And this makes their love interests seem weak as a result. And surely Stan Lee got stinkpalmed, but the film forgets the joke - like selling a leg injury during a wrestling match and then skipping up the ramp after its over. Meh.

This was my first KS movie that I saw, so I'll always have a soft spot for it. I think he said once that he wanted to make an utterly stupid movie as his follow up to Clerks, so that there were no expectations, or something like that.

Willam calling Shannon Doherty Brenda is amazing though!

  6. If it isn't changed on their website within a week, you could take it further.

Sadly what you should have done was what dodgy dick friends of mine do and unpick some of the stitching and then report it as faulty goods, when they get something they don't like. And then they wonder why they get smacked by the karma bus...

  7. I personally think all flags everywhere should be banned around the world as they are more often than not associated with something bad, namely wars and blind patriotism.

As for this piece of news, its just people getting uppity. How is it any different to a million uses of the flag on stickers, ballons, etc with a company logo across it?

  8. I get what you're saying, and totally sympathize, but I also get a lot more "Taxes?!? I didn't shoot down over three (i.e., four) Japanese back in the Big One so that I would have to pay taxes!" than a reasonable person should have to deal with.
Haha, fair call, I didn't think of all the nineteen dickety seven types.
  9. On the flip side, If you've spent 20 minutes on hold, then end up in the wrong department because the voice recognition didn't understand you properly or what you wanted wasn't one of the 4 options to press, then you're told that you need to be transferred, which you know will result in more time on hold, that can get frustrating as well.

It's not your fault, but there is a chance they were a perfectly reasonable person before they got on the phone to whatever company is using the 'latest' technology to funnel their incoming calls.
