  1. Tim Robbins??!??!?!?!  AS DR. DOOM???!!?!?!?!?!?!

Tell me about it. Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm is gold, but there are at least a dozen other actors I'd cast as Doom before Robbins.

Hell, I wouldn't have even CONSIDERED him for the part.

  2. You know what is really funny? That the Justice League cartoon on Cartoon Network showed Superman's vulnerability to magic (Dr. Fate blasted him), but the fucking comic book writers themselves couldn't be bothered to show it in this extremely monumental crossover.

    Amazing.

  3. Donkey Kong Country and it isn't even close.

Killer Instinct was good, also, but nowhere as cool as DKC2.

Goldeneye would be the most overrated game ever if it weren't for Halo. God, why do people overrate first person shooters so damn much? :bang:

  4. Cyclops, my friends.

Just too bad Wolverine wasn't around this early... He'd have kicked Cyclops' ass.

Don't be so sure. Remember that the AOA Wolverine only had one hand because Cyclops blew it off. One powerful shot at Logan's neck, and off comes his head -- and good ol' Logan ain't growin that back.

Um...how is Cyc's beam going to cut through adamantium vertebrae?

  5. I guess Marvel Girl could try and fling things at the other teammates, but like Yoda said, she wasn't all that adept with her powers at that point. I'm gonna go with Cyclops too.

An interesting thought is who would win if it was modern day? Furry Beast, non-snowman Iceman, etc.

That would EASILY be Jean Grey.

  6. I hope you've seen the uncut version and not the pussified TV version, though, because taking out all the violent parts really numbs it down badly.

Oh my God! I bought a bootleg copy of this, and it is insane! I hope they release this version on DVD at some point.

    They have.

    No way! :OMG: Totally uncut?!

Yes. I've seen it at Media Play and Best Buy stores. I also heard it's available on Amazon.com, but I've not yet checked.

Return of the Joker was classic. It incorporated the best aspects of the Beyond series with the best Batman villain ever (Hamill rules at characterisation) and a good story. I don't know if I've seen the uncut version or not. Could someone say what the differences were?

Basically, they took out all the "violent" moments that might have been too much for young children to see. Such as:

--Joker stabbing and slicing Batman with a knife

--Robin shooting Joker with the bang flag gun, killing him. It also showed the flag sticking out of Joker's bloody chest, so...

There were several others, but I can't remember them now.

  7. I always preferred Batman: The Animated Series to Batman: Beyond. However, this is not to say that B:B was a bad show--far from it. It was great, in fact.

Return of the Joker is one of the greatest animated movies of the last decade. The whole thing was intense, memorable, and action-packed. Plus, the dialogue was brilliant. I hope you've seen the uncut version and not the pussified TV version, though, because taking out all the violent parts really numbs it down badly.
