I found out today that there was a comic shop the next town over. I never knew it existed. Sadly, the owner passed away and it closed a little over six months ago. The owners daughter tried to sell the shop, but after that failed, she sold the building. Now she is trying to sell all the comics asap. I have talked to her about what the inventory is and will look at it tomorrow. When I asked about price, she stated that she knows nothing and we can discuss my offer when I see what is what. This is where I need some advice. Most of the collection is from 2000-2009. She said that she is selling everything for at least 50% of the cover price, but that is still a little rich for me. She also mentioned wanting to sell short and long boxes for a flat rate. Honestly, I have never bought anything outside of quarter boxes besides trades. I have no idea what is a reasonable offer. I don't want to make an offer that is taking advantage of someone, while at the same time I don't want to pay more than I need to. Any ideas?

For some reason or another I have decided to give wrestling (more specifically WWE) another chance. I haven't watched regularly for a few years. And, I don't know if I am enjoying it as much as I used to. I have kept up to date mostly, so I kinda know what is going on, but still seems like the same old same old. Don't get me wrong, I love being able to see CM Punk become a star. I have been a huge fan since I saw him wrestle an hour at a crappy fairgrounds for a couple hundred people. But overall, it has more background noise than anything. I think I will give it a few more weeks, just because, and see if I get more interested.

Some random TV show told me that VCRs defeated Betamax due to VHS porn. Somehow I think there was a lot more to it than that. At least I hope so.

I got dish network hooked up to my wall of TVs at work. When I asked what I was to have playing I was told "Sports all the time". As such, I slacked of some while at work and watched some football. UFL and FSU/UNC, but still. I am finally free of watching The Incredibles. Don't get me worng, great movie, but watch it every day for eight months. On a loop. The UFL will be the greatest thing you ever did see.

Sales wise, it is an awesome thing. K-Mart is the only place in my town that still has it. And, just basing it on my department of electronics, huge sales boost. I checked today and currently there are something of 40 Wiis, 30ish PS3s and 20 X360s not to mention 30ish TVs and other random crap. Not to say I wouldn't sell these things otherwise, but it helps me sell the games systems within a day of getting them in stock. I am just getting sick of people abusing the system. You have a date it needs to be out by and a date for the next payment. You sign a contract. If you do not read the contract, it is your own fault. We give you breaks and you still don't bother to do anything until after we return it. All it takes is a phone call and saying I can pay $X on the Yth. 35 days until I die. Learned today I will be at work at 4 AM so I can get ready for the crazy people. I seriously put in a request for a velvet rope. I have to wait until Monday for a reply. I will be really happy if I am allowed to have one. That fact kinda makes me a little sad.

I just sold a guy 23 blue raspberry tootsie pops over the course of six hours. One at a time. They are 15 cents. He paid with a five the first five times before I said no to fives. Then he had exact change each time. I have no idea what the point of that was.

Well, hey, that happens all the time on Black Friday, and nobody cares. So go for it. Tempting. Last year I just about elbowed someone in the face because they crowed my personal space while I was turning around holding a 40 in TV. I might get a velvet rope. No one would cross a velvet rope would they?

I HATE working retail at this time of year. I have come to terms with the fact that my store is the only one that still offers layaway. I have no problems with that fact as it had drove our sales through the roof. But when you put your shit into layaway, you are told the rules and have to follow them. You have to make payments every two week. If not it can be canceled and you will lose $15. You signed a contract that states as much. However, being that layaway is being slammed, and us not wanting to ruin someones Christmas, we have not been returning layaways right away. People have an additional 40 days without payment before we care. So to recap, you have 54 days to make a payment before your layaway is canceled. So when I have to call people that are 40+ overdue and give them 2 MORE days to make a payment, I get really pissed when they start yelling at me for not giving them til the end of the week. Seriously, you have been given tons of leeway and you get pissed when I do not give you more. I swear that I am about to just go off on people. If you can afford the big screen, Wii, PS3, thirty toys, dining set, 2 iPods and a bed (an actual layaway that I called about), DON'T FUCKING PUT IT IN LAYAWAY. GAHHHH. It is really not good that it is only Oct (not even Halloween) and I am already sick of fucking Christmas. I think that I might punch some people on Black Friday.

I will second the fact that all things Santo are awesome. Amazingly, my local library has a rather large selection.

In regards to "Trouble Squared", you both wondered what the episode meant for Alva. Now not having seen this episode, I am just going on your recap. I take it much the in vain of Ra's in "Showdown". All Alva wanted to do was to help his son. That was his most important goal at the moment, being evil was on the back burner.

As to why Superman was no where to be found with Brainiac on the loose, I think that they didn't want a Static vs. Superman showdown. Also, was it just me or did J'onn seem really out of character and kinda of a dick to Static & Gear for most of the 1st episode?

So this has been bugging me for the last couple of days. I work part time at a drive-thru. People order their beer, I had them said beer and give them the cost. Say the total is $7.43. They hand me $8.00. They do not say keep the change. The question becomes: when do I say thank-you? I tend to say it when I give them their change back. However a lot of people have been driving away without their change and as such, I don't say thank-you. I don't want to be rude to these people (they are the nice ones that tip (I am plenty rude to the drunks who are assholes)) but it seems odd to say thank-you before giving them their change. I feel like that is me saying I expect the tip and that they are not getting change back. So, when should the thank-you be said?

Surprised that no one has connected the dots yet, but Michael Rosenbaum voices NSA Agent West. Obviously this can only mean that Agent West is a time traveling Wally West. Something happened on the way and Wally no longer remembers that he is the Flash and takes a job with the NSA out of some unknown sense of duty to protect people. His voice changed a little because whatever made him lose his memory hit him hard. Real hard. Or the entire thing is just pure coincidence that is kinda neat.

At work, I've had four PS2s in stock and cannot sell them for anything. As far as the games go, I have trouble selling them too. New titles may sell one or two copies, but I have about 50ish titles priced $15 and below and they do not sell at all. I really doubt this price drop will help at all.

Now I cannot get my hotmail nor my yahoo accounts to work. I never told her my passwords before and always logged out when I used her computer. But the timing is really fishy indeed. Any ideas on how I can get them back?

So, a little late posting this, but I went to see the movie opening night at midnight. IMAX theater with a bunch of friends that I talked into going. And the fucking IMAX projector eats the film. We are told that we lost 2 seconds of the film.. However, after about 20 minutes, we get restarted to a movie with the audio two seconds behind. We were given some free passes and told to leave. So, I have yet to see the back end of the movie. It really sucks.

Broke up with my girlfriend earlier. It was hardest thing I think I have ever done. I am so emotionally exhausted right now I do not know what to do with myself at the moment. Add in the fact that I got kneed in the groin a couple times and that I haven't eaten in two days and I am a downright mess. Don't really know why I am posting this other than I want to get it out there and am sitting in my apartment all alone.

I went to see Kevin Smith this past Thursday at Ohio State. My girlfriend got me a ticket for free so why not. I will say that in person it was funny, but it did drag at some points. A few times I felt that he rambled on about something completely unrelated to the topic at hand but that basically happened when the question sucked. And there were some downright utter shite questions.

Now, I cannot speak on the larger scale, but I work as the electronics manager of a department store and I cannot keep them in stock. Doesn't matter how many I get in at a time, they will be sold in less than two hours. On average I get five phone calls an hour from people looking for a Wii. I have had 20+ PS3s for five months now and cannot sell and single one.

Only in my head. Was it a random bear, or was it Mr. Bear coming to life and getting some revenge for being left in the washing machine all night?

Finished of Dexter Season 2. I am not sure if I like it more than season one or not, but it was still awesome. I also love the fact that they tied up the cliffhanger I thought was being left for Season 3. Side Note: Why bother making it a four disc set if the only extras you are giving are episodes for other shows? This so could have been a three disc set.
