  1. From TV.com:

Popular favorites Teen Titans are getting a movie of their own as well, to be called Teen Titans Go To Tokyo. When Titans Tower is infiltrated by a high-tech ninja, the Titans trail it to Japan. Action ensues when the Titans clash with the villainous Japanese criminal Brushogun.

This will air on Cartoon Network.

    Uhhh... cool(?)

    More Slade plz

  2. So that's what that was all about...

Yeah, that MGS2 Sucide this was really weird. He also posted it on the Gamefaqs boards. I got MGS2 for the past Christmas and went to Gamefaqs for help and ended up finding, like, all the threads about suicide. It was quite confusing, and bizarre, so I just got the hell out of there.

Oh, and fuck Jack Thompson, but that goes without saying.

  3. Super? I guess the more parents understanding and playing games, the better.

As for personal experiences, my mum is an avid PC gamer, and the main reason I even got into games at all. Starting from olde ye point-and-click RPGs like Space Quest and King's Quest, to some like Might and Magic (mmm...) She only plays RPGs, though. Currently, she's hacking her way through Dungoen Siege II. It's kinda irritating, though, when she goes on 3-4 gaming sprees for consecutive days. My dad? He just tolerates them.

  4. I guess I'll be the first one to jump on the hate-wagon. I reaaaaallly hate Sailor Moon, or what I've seen of it, anyways. My little sister rents videos of it all the time from the library, and it's so... corny and awful. The dialouge, animation, and basically everythnig about it just makes me cringe. From the way you describe it, James, this is probably the "bad" version which you spoke of.

  5. In my continuing series of posts about Ace Combat that no one else cares about, here's the trailer of the next Ace Combat game.

    (Trailer #2)

    HERE

The first time I saw this, I was speechless. Beautiful cinematics and in-game graphics and, from what I can tell, probably a solid story. Sure, it dosen't say much about the gameplay, but I doubt it'll change all that much. It ain't broke, no need to fix it.

  6. Man this really sucks.  When is the last ep supposed to air?

A trilogy will end the series.

Calling All Titans aired Saturday, January 7, but I'm sure it will be rerun this week.

Titans Together airs this Saturday, January 14.

Things Change, the last episode, will air Monday, January 16.

Say WHAT!? You're fukking kidding me, right? These will be the last three?

If I don't get any Slade, I'm going to feel incredibly gyped.

  7. Well, I just got back from a Marvel vs Capcom tourney at my school. I went to it thinking I'd completely own, considering I'm great a MvC... 1. The game of choice was Marvel vs Capcom 2, for... and this is the kicker, the Dreamcast. I've never even picked up a Dreamcast controler before, so it was incredibly awkward. Two of the guys, who owned the game, there were already talking about how good their matchup in the finals would be, as if they were locks for the spots.

    Needless to say; they weren't.

With the team of MvC1 characters: Strider, Gambit, and Wolvie, using my normal MvC1 tactics, I beat one of the "great" players. Of course, he insisted, after it was over, that the handicap was off. I'm certain it wasn't. I hate when people do that, try to weasel their way out of a loss. In the finals I beat the other one soundly, when he tried using three distance characters against Strider and Wolvie; not a good idea. Man, it felt sooooo good two put those two in their place.

So, share your stories about great wins (or losses) in your gaming experience.

  8. I downloaded it a while ago, but finally had the time to listen to it. Might as well respond here...

I like the converstional, back and forth tone the show has now that Jenny joined in. I like it.

I can sympathise with your frustration with SCIII, Yoda. I rushed out and got it in the first few days it was out. When I loaded it up, though, and started to play through ToS with my (ex) favorite character, Mina, I got KILLED. I had to face nearly everyone more than four, five times. Don't even get me started on that asshat, Abyss.

Still, I told myself it wasn't crap, it just couldn't be after all the praise I had seen for it. After all the hope I had put into it. I've gotten alot better with the game now, and it's great fun. Now, instead of trying to get off as many power moves as fast as possible while hoping the AI wouldn't guard (SCII), a great deal of strategy is required. Mixing up high/low attacks, throws, and guard impacts are needed to beat the CPU instead of dumb luck. It's the challenge that spurred me on and showed what a good game this is. And if, the AI is still too frustrating, the VS play is still wonderful. You're doing the right thing, giving it a second chance.
