  1. For the record, Shawn Michaels WWF/WWE title history: 10/30/90 Rockers defeat Hart Foundation, title change never airs and never recognized 10/27/92 Defeats Davey Boy Smith for IC title. Loses to Marty Jannetty on 5/17/93 6/6/93 Defeats Jannetty for second IC reign, Diesel debuts as his bodyguard same night. Stripped in September (Solie.org Title History just says he left, it could be addictions related). 8/28/94 Wins tag belt with Diesel. Titles are stripped on 11/23/94 when Diesel turns babyface and team splits 7/23/95 Defeats Jeff Jarrett for third IC reign. Forfeits it on 10/22/95 after infamous bar assault. 9/24/95 Wins tag strap with Diesel, solely for one night that The Kliq owns all the gold (Michaels IC and Diesel heavyweight). Reversed next night due to wrong man being pinned. 3/31/96 The boyhood dream has come true! Defeats Bret Hart, loses to Sid on 11/17. 1/19/97 Defeats Sid for his second WWF title reign, loses smile on 2/13/97 5/26/97 Wins tag strap with Austin, gets stripped when Michaels briefly quits promotion, Austin kept his part, and would wind up with Dude Love as partner on 7/14/97 9/20/97 Wins Euro title from Davey Boy Smith, drops it on 12/11/97 in a "lay down" spot to Triple H. Obviously this was kayfabe, but goes to the "didn't really lose it in the ring" side of ledger. 11/9/97 Defeats Bret in Montreal Screwjob. Despite searing back pain and rumors that he wouldn't, does the honors to Austin on 3/29/98. 11/17/02 Wins World Title in first Elimination Chamber match. Drops it to Triple H on 12/15/02. Final singles title of career. 1/29/07 With John Cena defeats Team Rated RKO for tag belts. Two end up WrestleMania opponents for Cena's heavyweight title, they hold the straps until 4/2/07 when Michaels deliberately eliminated himself from a tag team battle royal for the belts. Obviously this was kayfabe, but goes to the "didn't really lose it in the ring" side of ledger. 12/13/09 D-X defeats JeriShow for tag titles, lose straps to ShowMiz on 2/8/10 when Miz pins Michaels (as he was arguing with Triple H). Looking at the numbers: 6 Tag Titles, officially 5, 1 dropped in the ring 3 WWF Titles, 2 dropped in the ring 3 IC Titles, 1 dropped in the ring 1 World Title, 1 dropped in the ring 1 Euro Title 14 times Michaels had possession of a title, and only 5 times lost it in a "legit" (as legit as a pre-scripted sport can be of course) fashion in a match.
  2. Scott Keith has said that he basically made up the "Austin to win at Final Four" rumor, and it spread like wildfire.
  3. No syndicated weekend shows? Or were they both PPV preview shows that week?
  4. Never been a live action Ant-Man? Well...technically...
  5. The Patriot could be fun. If only to muse about historical changes once researching to see what a POS Gibson's character was. Also to muse about Mel Gibson in general if there isn't a Mel month in the offering =
  6. Speaking of controversial powder kegs, any interest in historical or biopics? Not necessarily on the political/social issue ones (which could invite just as, "spirited" shall we say, feedback as religious topics) but on any that falls horrendously flat for whatever reason? Babe Ruth bio pics alone can be considered a genre in of themselves!
  7. Considering it started as Twilight Fan Fict, 50 Shades of Shit.
  8. To be fair, they had to scramble to show something, so why not an instant classic and arguably one of the worst booked Rumbles since they added the title shot stipulation in 1993. Of course the flip of that is that literally a week or so later the entire show could be seen for free as part of their free month promotion of the WWE Network!
  9. Oddly enough, the Chad is from Atlanta, and is a co-host of a Jim Crockett Productions (promotion territories that Turner bought to become WCW)/WCW rewatch podcast (just wrapped up 1991 a few weeks ago). Speaking of Guy Banter, any chance the Fast & The Furious franchise, or at least one of the entries, can get a Tirades look? Maybe its the way they are being hyped by fanboys on social media that enjoy bad movies (one such claimed that he enjoyed the ET ripoff/ode to over commercialization, Mac & Me) but seems like they have Farva films written all over them, as opposed to flat out insulting and loud pieces of crap.
  10. I do work for a wrestling/pop culture site called Place to Be Nation that has a newtork of podcasts. One of the shows, which is kind of on hiatus due to both hosts being fathers this past year, is hosted by a fellow named Brad, and a fellow named Chad, The Brad & Chad Show.
  11. Give it to Mike to throw up on an Earth-2 The Show segment ala The Fantasticast episodes he and Des did.
  12. I know the song sucks, but come on, next time you have a lengthy absence, you MUST play "It's been a long time, getting from there to here" and that'd be it.
  13. As bad as music artists (or pop culture in general) is in terms of douchebags who wear it without knowing/caring about what they are wearing* it is WORSE when it comes to sports. I went up to a guy once wearing a University of North Carolina Tarheel Mens Basketball shirt and said simply "Duke rules!" (I don't have a dog in the Duke-UNC rivalry, I just like needling the opposite side) to which the guy responded with a "Huh?" I repeated "Duke rules!" and pointed to the shirt, to which the response was "Oh, I uhhh just like the shirt." Also in late 2002 a guy wearing a Brock Lesnar "Here Comes The Pain" shirt seemed quite confused when I told him "Hey, that guy's the reason Stone Cold is no longer around!" (I know not exactly, the Lesnar job on Raw without a proper build was the last straw in something that was building, but just something snarky to have a little fun and start a quick conversation with someone whom I thought was a Lesnar fan) to which I got a "Uh what? Ah whatever..." type of response. *FWIW, I've used this as an example to counter someone ranting over Max Landis' decree that no one likes Superman, and even if you do, you don't, with the idea that Superman merch is still a hot seller (Batman may have surpassed him but that's besides the point) even with people who wouldn't know Clark Kent from Jeff Kent as proof that Landis is a douchebag that isn't worth ranting about. In other words, even if you don't like Superman, you still like him because you own something with the S Shield, or something about the pervasiveness of Superman is still worthy enough to own in a trinket, shirt, tattoo, or whatever and you wouldn't quite get the same "oooh, nerd" reaction that a lesser character would. Superman is, and always has been "safe" to display, whether you are a fan or not, despite how much crap you've gotten within the comic book superhero fan community over your liking of the character.
  14. You know, part of the whole bits with the ending of Santa With Muscles and the 2014 Retrospective had me thinking you'd be doing films that are generally acknowledged as great or classic films that you both dislike. Kind of a reversal of what the Tirades have been so far with generally acknowledged bad films, or at least polarizing in one way or another (Twlight, Michael Bay Transformers franchise). So, that could be a good recommendation for future episodes.
  15. That's WWE Celebrity Wing HOFer Arnold Schwarzenegger! 1977 Bodybuilding documentary Pumping Iron Last Action Hero The Last Stand, besides The Expendables, his return to acting following his time as California Govenor.
  16. RIGHT! Sorry, for some reason I got you and Ian confused there.
  17. I nominate a certain Clip Monkey for the job for 2015 and going forward... Of course, wasn't his last Bigger On The Inside retrospective covering the Troughton era of shows? =
  18. Welp, wasn't expecting this tidbit, Pedro Martinez is the first baseball HOFer born in the same 1970s decade as I am...*sigh*
  19. Reason why falling behind on podcasts can be dangerous, Hearing Bill Cosby as Mike's Dean today...well its a good thing my car was parked when I heard it!
  20. My favorite "I'm old" line of demarcation, and I'm thinking about it more right now with baseball HOF announcement this coming week, and the NFL one coming at the end of the month, is when professional athletes whom I've watched and enjoyed their ENTIRE career in the spotlight, which includes getting spotlighted as "can't miss" prospects in the HS or collegiate level depending on the sport, start routinely getting inducted into their sport's Hall of Fame. Probably even more so in the cases where the player is on the ballot beyond their first time eligible (for whatever reason). The next one probably is when those making it into said Halls are YOUNGER than I am!

I specifically requested olives. Almost as cute as In Bread Hot Dog!
  23. Funny enough, this coming Monday, Hulk Hogan will be donning the Santa Claus outfit for an appearance...while I'd wager a joke or two at this movie's expense will be made, I'm sure the less time spent thinking about Santa With Muscles references on a bloated 3 hour Monday Night Raw, the better! Then again, with the direction the company seems to be headed these days...it just might be the "best" thing on the show!
  24. FWIW, Stan Lane was with the Midnights for their brief babyface turn and defeated Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson for the titles in Sep of 88 as the Horsemen were on their way out and WWF bound. Of course not that it was a long and memorable feud, but they did have a "past" of sorts.
