  1. Could have sworn Dorn was the thirdbaseman.
  2. Re: Adham's rants on the tube lines. To be fair, it is a constant consternation when Marvel editors (not blaming the artists or writers) whom WORK IN NEW YORK CITY constantly slip up names and geography of New York City in the pages of comic books. High on the list is the constant changing of what damn bridge Gwen Stacy was thrown off of! George Washington, Brooklyn, wouldn't shock me if it was called or drawn to look like several other bridges over the years. Yes, probably not too many people listening will care, but at the end of the day it is something that should be noticed by people making the film IN LONDON and corrected.
  3. FUCK! I was about to say what Ian said! DAMN YOU WILSON! YOU EGREOUS METROSEXUAL! (listen to the FEYO Message from Ian Wilson bumper for that reference) =
  4. Damn! Maybe next time I should watch the film rather than watch clips on YouTube, specifically titled "Bambi & Thumper Death Scene" No really, that's what their scene was titled in one of the clips that came up in a search for their scene.
  5. Going through these episodes in the ramp up to Skyfall, listening to you talk about the end of Naomi and Bond's Lady Killing ways. Ummm, you've missed Bambi & Thumper's demise in Diamonds Are Forever in terms of being first undisputed Bond kill of a woman, two in fact!
  6. Got something for around March, Hoosiers (due to the NCAA Basketball tournament time) Very ripe for multiple scenarios; Keep it time specific, move to a different era (say today, say 1970s, say 1990s, it can work in any era), change the gender of the team, change the gender of the Hackman character, etc. It has a lot of potential for a remake with a different forumla as opposed to straight up retelling or modernization of the same story.
  7. Best Thanksgiving film ever: Planes, Trains & Automobiles
  8. WILSON! I suppose you'll be trolling for Skyfall feedback soon as well, I'd should hope so as I doubt you'll release two Skyfall related episodes, or Skyfall and then an update of episode #23 = And what's this about a muesem going podcast?
  9. I'd like to see a 2012 version of Friends. One reason since the show is SO 1990s, so seeing that dynamic at it's start 20 (FUCKING HELL!?) years later might be interesting. Not to mention I'd be interested in changing up Central Perk as a main set piece. It would be interesting for like an episode to see the six characters try to do their routine at the Starbucks that pretty much drives Central Perk (and many IRL independant coffee houses) out of business.
  10. Some pulp comic strips and early comic book heroes that deserve remakes Dick Tracy The Shadow The Spirit
  11. Probably a good place to put this bit here as it's a movie about a group of school kids, but, umm Shania, rookie, it's time to get up on that table and sing your school's fight song! LOUDLY AND PROUDLY! *for those who have no clue what I'm talking about, that's a usual good natured sports team (either pro or college) hazing ritual, rookies forced to sing their alamater's fight song in front of the rest of the team.
  12. Right, I forgot The Brig can be considered a full fledged companion.
  13. To be fair, and I guess we will see this again when we get to the return of Sarah-Jane, this would be a good example of what happens after a companion is dropped off after their time with The Doctor is over. Especially someone Rose's age and mentailty. Speaking of which, with the exception of the anniversary specials, providing a clip for Davison's regeneration, and Jamie in The Two Doctors, was there any other times where there was a possibility of a compainon returning?
  14. Especially with the angle of making a diverse cast. Hell, I was thinking make the Lee Cobb character a minority would be an interesting choice.
  15. Just thought of a new one while listening to The Breakfest Club. 12 Angry Men.
  16. I may be way to eager for it, but I'm kind of interested in seeing how Bad Wolf's pop culture references are handled. Yes I know The Beatles got quoted in The Three Doctors, but from a song that was 6 years old during a time that was what, the 1980s? Easy to see The Beatles being getting referred to decades down the line if you are going to throw in an "I Am The Walrus" reference in 1973. However, kind of cheeky to think Big Brother, Weakest Link and whatever that fashion show was would still be culturally relevant during that time frame, and it might be even more telling since it's been more than 5 years and I have no clue what that fashion show was supposed to be, the UK version of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy maybe? And never mind that American audiences probably either never heard of or forgotten Anne Robinson already due to her American version of Weakest Link being short lived. Even though a quick look at Wiki says that they wrapped up production on the original back in March. Heh, I guess this is probably what Anne said to NBC and American audiences: "Your common knowledge base frightens me as a citizen of the world. No wonder late night talk shows have made a cottege industry out of basic trivia segments. So, America, you ARE the Weakest Link! GOOD BYE!"
  17. The Godfather Casablanca Yankee Doodle Dandy (could be a more accurate portrayl of Cohan) The Graduate Public Enemy Angels With Dirty Faces Little Caeser From Here To Enternity Guys and Dolls (I'm surprised actually this hasn't been remade as it gets revived often) Pride of The Yankees (ditto with the Yankee Doodle Dandy only with Gehrig)
  18. I wouldn't bet on those scenes being all that emotional... I'm sorry, I couldn't resist going there =
  19. WOW! And people who thought what has been shown, and the marketing machine of the show was bad enough, THAT would have really pushed them over the edge!
  20. Is there a possiblity of WFP coming back...well maybe not the same schedule, and maybe as an Earth-2.net The Show segment, to cover the episodes? As well as the mini-episodes that led to the series returning?
  21. Just to expand this, now that I'm thinking of it, this could be the place to touch upon, but not completely indepth of course all the Target novels, Big Finish dramas, comic books, gamming cards, toys, the Cushing films, spinoff series, etc that either will not be covered on BOTI, or whatever you chose to be be covered more indepth during the show's hiatus after the catchup.
  22. I know "That's what Bigger on The Inside is for!" but 11/17-11/23 2013 Doctor Who week leading up to the 50th Anniversary, and the BOTI catchup episode.
  23. Mike, have you given any thought to what I emailed the show about with toys and whatnot? I know that was more about the articles, but if you'd like I could do something along the lines of recording a segment for the toys and merch for one, or more of these weeks?
  24. To further Mike's comment about seeing his soul die a little when he saw his action figure, well to borrow your line about William Russell, you could actually see it as the moment Eccleston quit the show! Trying to think of other situations like it. The problem is with American series, very rarely, with the exception of premium cable channels, will a season still be completely in the can when the show literally premieres. And usually when it is announced that an actor is leaving, they usually give enough time to work out the exit before the season ends, or the actor will gracelously come in for the start of the next season to close out the character. A Charlie Sheen/Two And A Half Men situation is very rare. Yes he did do his regeneration, so it wasn't akin to Sylvester McCoy in a blonde wig, but it is still kind of unbelievable to think that the show was barely a week old and it was announced that the lead would not return for the second season!
  25. Caught the Ross clips, and it's not just during the action figure bit, Eccleston looks like he is barely tolerating Ross' schtick the whole time. It's like "Seriously, this is it? I'm now forced to put up with twats like you going forward?" Can't really come up with a great example off hand, but it'd be like if someone who just didn't get or enjoy the humor of a Leno or Letterman or O'Brien or Fallon, or anyone of the late night circut and pretty much did the bare minimum to play along with them because "that is what is going to be part of doing this damn role."
