Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze: Not as bad as #3 but still has some problems. The timeline is kinda wonky. Can Ninja Rap be Vanilla Ice's legacy?
Pinocchio and The Emperor of the Night: Filmation was and always will be garbage. This was decidedly not good, a way of trying to cashgrab off Disney with a story about Pinocchio fighting The Devil.

I'm voting for Guardians. I love Captain America but Guardians just felt so new and different and that feeling holds up over repeated feelings. It's a fun film, visually creative, and has so many great set pieces. In a lot of ways, this is also where Marvel's "Jokes at points that kind of kill the tension" problem starts but ehh. It does also have a villain problem, whether that's Ronan being kind of bland or the fact that Thanos who Marvel is trying to sell as a big bad totally gets jobbed by Ronan. Still, it's a great movie.
I love Thor:Ragnarok more than some but yeah, this is a two horse race. It can settle for a well deserved sixth place.

Donovan convinced me here because it was a coinflip between Winter Soldier and Black Panther. Endgame was never in the running. Just too many problems with how it uses it's runtime.
For me, this is what decides who wins the bracket for me.

It's Disney trying to test to see if this model will work. If it does, expect Black Widow to go the same way but it's like 10 bucks more than the other studios have been doing on top of a subscription service. I doubt it.

Captain Marvel 2 will be directed by Nia DaCosta.
Nia is directing the upcoming Candyman sequel.

Iron Man is a very grounded Superhero movie. It is definitely an attempt to make a realistic Super-hero movie. This is to it's credit. Robert Downey Jr. dominates every scene he's in and lends it so much energy that the film works even when he's not in a scene. The writing in wonderful and we have a fully realized vision of a world.
That said, I am voting for Thor: Ragnarok. My problem with the visual story telling of the previous Thor films was never about, "I want to see more Asgard." It was, "I want to see something other than the most boring places on Earth." Thor: Ragnarok gave me that. Even the Earth Scenes try to mix things up. The entire cast works so well together. Cate Blanchett is a God-Tier level actress so having her play the villain of a Marvel film where she gets to strut about the stage is fantastic and they sell her threat very well. The cast is good enough that Hemsworth or Hiddleston can not be in scenes and the energy levels never dip. The Score is one of the best Marvel put out. The 80s Synth vibe gels with the more neon feeling of the film. The humor... okay, yeah, I'll admit it can be distracting at times but as a person who is a fan of Waititi, I expected it.
Iron Man is a fantastic film. I just like Thor: Ragnarok a little more, that's all.

Guardians. It is probably one of the most interesting Marvel films and it kind of changed the genre completely right down to Warners hiring James Gunn to direct their Suicide Squad sequel after their previous attempt to emulate it failed.
Infinity War... I don't like it still.

Winter Soldier is easily one of the best films of the 2010s, let alone one of the best Marvel Films. Ant-Man and the Wasp is mediocre on the best of days.

I went with Guardians 2 because it is just that much more of a personal film. Does it do a vast disservice to Mantis? Oh christ, yes! Do I get annoyed with Drax's characterization? Yep. But everyone else has these story beats and character moments that make me love it that much more. I was not expecting to care about Nebula. Most of all, as a gay man, the entire concept of found family is always going to be something that rings true to me. It's a big part of why I tear up occasionally. Basically, it hits me in the feels.
Endgame is a pretty decent movie but it has more problems than Guardians 2 had. There's the fact that it will always be half a film. It's the better half but it's still not a complete story in and of itself. It's basically Ending: The Motion Picture. Also, while it doesn't do Black Widow the dirtiest move in the entire MCU, it gets there pretty damn quick.

There's a reason this is the Marvel film that final clinched a Best Picture nomination. The third act is a little less great but everything leading up to it is terrific. It's also just an important film. We have a Black Superhero and their blackness is such an important part of the movie and the world.

I love Captain America so much. It works as a superhero movie, a war film, epic and well-acted. Does it have it's problems? Yeah but ehh.

The same universe that got Edgar Wright's Ant-Man probably also got Del Toro's The Hobbit and I envy them!

Incredible Hulk is barely in continuity. Endgame is continuity porn. It's just a weird match-up and I'm obviously voting Endgame.

I'm not going to spend time defending Thor Ragnarok when this round is open and shut so easily. I'll save that for next round when it has actual competition. My vote is going where it's going.

Constantine: I feel like this movie is finally getting the credit it deserves. Is it a good Constantine movie? No. Is is a fun movie? Yes. It's just a film that fundamentally works better if you divorce it from the source material/are not familiar with it.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire: There are parts that work very well and parts that are pretty meh. It is oddly prescient considering the political unrest in the film.
The Final Girls: Honestly, I love this film. It does it's best with it's PG-13 rating and it is one of the only films I know that has a scene that can consistently make me ugly cry.
Captain America: Civil War: I've spoken about my problems with this film in the past. I just can't get into it and better people than myself have spoken about my problems than me. Basically, it's a film that could have been better but just isn't.

I mean, there are people that don't realize that SHIELD recruiting Hyrdra Scientists is 100% based off of fact so I can't really slight them for that.

I voted for Captain Marvel because I remember having more fun when I saw it. Honestly, I'm still going through Phase 3 in my rewatch so this is a bit hard.

Winter Soldier is just a great movie all around. Easy vote.

The Winter Soldier is nearly flawless. It has one of the best action sequences in the entire MCU (The elevator Scene). On top of that, it's got a story that keeps on working with engaging performances all around. It also has something: One of the only times that I think Black Widow actually works as a character. She gets to do the Spy thing while being able to own the scenes she's in. She's usually just Action Chick in most of the other films and here, she gets to do her thing.
First Avenger is a fine movie but it just doesn't do as much for me sadly.
