Overload
What about Silver Surfer, Herald of Galactus...i wonder if the other giant space men have little guys to do their dirty work, and like to do other water activities...like the Blue Boater, or Sage Skier, or the ever faithful, White Wake boarder. Missy
That's actually a good question. How come Galactus is the only space entity with heralds?
TheRetreater
That was probably the only good part about the last part of Ultimate Galactus: they gave the herald an actual purpose. The 616 just uses the herald to announce the coming, which seems a bit too pompous for a force of the universe such as Galactus
ragernok2002
The heralds in 616 are used to find suitable planets for Galactus to consume, not just too announce the coming of Galactus.
JackFetch
The heralds in 616 are used to find suitable planets for Galactus to consume, not just too announce the coming of Galactus. Correct. Galactus can't waste energy finding suitable planets, so he makes them do it for him.
Holacik
That's actually a good question. How come Galactus is the only space entity with heralds? He just likes having an Entourage.
TheRetreater
Aww schnapp, I knew that too and just didn't think about it at posting time! Good work with the correction. That does remind me of the old cartoon series. I was fond of it. Radd decides to find only suitable planets without the intelligent life. Was that what he did in the comics too, or did he just sacrifice himself for his planet's intelligent life? I don't actually recall ever reading a definitive origin/transformation tale for SS. If somebody could name books for such a tale, I'd love to look it up.

Didn't Terrax became a herald then gave the ok to Galactus to feast on his homeworld?
