Missy
We have a little 8-bit war going on here. Personally, I think Contra was the hardest NES game, while others seem to think that honor should go to TMNT. So, to settle the debate, I've created this poll. Flame on! Mr. Keith
I'm sorry, but I remember actually getting somewhere in the original TMNT. I've never been able to do squat in any of the Contra games but die and die quickly. So Contra gets my vote.
Cash
I had Contra beaten within three months of getting it, without constant playing. I didn't beat TMNT until at least six months after I got it, with constant playing. TMNT gets my vote.

You probably would have been able to beat TMNT sooner if you were able to use a code similar to Contras.
Fat DJ
No, beating TMNT was impossible not due to certain enemies, but certain jumps you had to make.
Mr. Keith
No, beating TMNT was impossible not due to certain enemies, but certain jumps you had to make. True... I completely forgot all about those parts. I mostly remember those pain in the ass water stages you had to go through that made me cringe. Either way, I still say Contra was harder. With the Konami code... it was done within a day.

Or atleast that's what I understood from your post back in the other Contra thread. Guess I could've made myself a little more clear when I said that. S-T
I beat Contra eventually (with and without the Konami Code) but I was never able to beat the original TMNT. Neither game, though, was as difficult as Total Recall. Life Force, for me, was nearly impossible without the Konami code.
Guest Kevbo
Contra was way harder. I have since mastered TMNT, so it's easy for me now.
Kscriv
Contra. Here's 3 lives, get touched by anything and you die, beat 8 stages
Mr. Keith
Contra. Here's 3 lives, get touched by anything and you die, beat 8 stages I don't even think I ever got past stage two.
