J Marv
The Saturn does have its highlights: Nights was a lot of fun, and of course Virtua Fighter and Panzer Dragoon are classics. But seriously though, its up against the machine that saved dedicated console gaming. I mean good God, just look at the games DW DIDN'T list: Final Fantasy, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear, Tecmo Bowl, TMNT, Duck Hunt etc. it could go on for hours with great titles. Plus, the accessories. No console had better first party accessories.
JackFetch
I had a Saturn at launch. I still get pissed when I see the Bug! logo. The NES outshines it in every way.
slothian
The NES wins this one for me - it brought gaming back from the brink and established your Mario Bros, Zelda and other major franchises.
dc20willsave
NES. While the Saturn is a more beautiful system, it didn't save an entire industry. Not to mention the cultural impact of the Nintendo. Even after I got a Playstation, my mom always asked me about "playing the Nintendo."
Dread
There's no other answer than NES.
Guest
Considering how horribly thrown together the hardware is, it's amazing that the Saturn has so many great games. It's not the NES though.
Koete
The NES, not only for reviving the video game industry, but also for being the launching point for so many major video game franchises.
Kscriv
I will vote the NES the whole way. Saved the industry, produced some all-time classic games. Love the Saturn, but it's no NES
SuaveStar
NES was fun and easy to play and had some great games from Disney such as Chip and Dale, Ducktales and so many more, while also giving birth to one of the most popular series in gaming-Super Mario Bros. Missy
Like the Atari 2600 before it, the NES became synonymous with home video gaming. And it spawned many iconic characters and franchises.
