To Kill A Mockingbird. I tend to enjoy Marvel movies more than you do but I’ve been too wild about the first Guardians film. The villain is one of dullest, most-afterthought antagonists in the franchise (which is saying something) and at times I think it only gets by its 80s nostalgia. But To Kill A Mockingbird is timeless.

My publishing guru (for lack of a better word) convinced me to a write a short conclusion/epilogue to my book. After a bitter month's struggle, that conclusion is now in a presentable form and after four years, the book is finally being submitted to publishers. I'm sure it'll be a while before it's on shelves and there'll be a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with the publishers before then. In the meantime, I'm glad to finally be at this point and am already working on the next one.

This was the first and only Mummy movie I saw in cinemas fresh off learning about Two contextless notes: -Cleopatra (Cleopatra VII, to be precise) actually wasn't a native Egyptian; her family, the Ptolemies, were from Macedonia (having came down to Egypt with Alexander the Great and ruling the country after he died) and they were almost certainly Caucasian (not to mention super-inbred and mostly horrible). That's not a defense of Rachel Weisz being cast as an Egyptian, though, and Queen Nefertiti (who was a native Egyptian) wouldn't have been white. -We do have foxes in the United States. My parents live in New Jersey and they occasionally see them outside their house.
