  1. I always loved Jupiter, from back when I watched a documentary on the planets narrated by Patrick Stewart (long before I realized that he was Captain Picard). The fact that Sailor Jupiter is my favorite Sailor Scout is just a nice coincidence.
  2. I cannot begin to describe how happy hearing this episode made me. I never heard Wendee's interpretation but now have a better understanding of the short story. When I was introduced to this story I was told that it was a slavery metaphor.
  3. I found the artist, even though he lost the picture, he makes a webcomic. He makes no money from his comic but has a couple of followers. Here are a few of my favorites.
  4. Hello everyone. Let me begin by saying that in the past everyone on this forum has been very kind and supportive of me in my endeavors. For this reason I would like to share a project that my girlfriend is working on. It is a fantasy series involving a mystical land where peoples knitted creation comes to life. Spirits of nature give you a gift of needles and spindles based off your talent and passions which are reflected in the color of your needles. For example, a gardener would have green a fisherman would have blue. This may sound wonderful but a government entity known simply as "The Ministry" has made the use of any needles (other than ministry black) as taboo of an act as say witchcraft among the Puritans. Is it better to crush your passions (both figuratively and literally) in order to live a life accepted by the majority? Or is it better to be seen as a criminal to follow your heart? These are just one of the many questions that Talia faces as her parents sneak her out of Spindle to seemingly abandon her in the forest with only some bread, her needles and Chatter, A creature made from knit yarn. What will she encounter in the forest? who will she come across and what is their connection? Only the unseen that binds them all, truly knows. You can read the first two chapters for free in the facebook link.
  5. I wanted to see Jigsaw go up against Dr. Phibes for pretty much the same reason.
  6. I liked the way both old and contemporary English was used in the print version. Legend has it tha Tolkien would begin his philology class by recite the first 50 lines of Beowulf in old English in the holes that he would have a small class. When it comes to retelling the story I found the CGI fantasy movie made me feel cynical and depressed. While Michael Chrictons attempt to make it all scientific, made me dream about heros fighting larger than life villains. I thought it would be the other way around
  7. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - Probably my favorite of the MI movies but I did notice Ethan took several hits to the face but never got a bloody nose or scar. I am convinced his nose is not made of cartilage but adamantium.
  8. Watching it right now, enjoying David Gerrold's rainbow suspenders.
  9. Okay. I now want to see the title cards for BWP to look like Weird Fiction, even though they have pictures.
  10. Amanda Palmer :The Littlest Dalek
  11. Columns and Cutthroat Island on the Sega Genesis.

    Episode 415

I am enjoying this theme. Mostly because the only monster that terrified me as a child was from a post apocalyptic anime.
  13. Enjoying the new sound equipment. I agree that things did pick up when the reader is introduced to Sad King Billy. When he was mentioned in earlier stories I could only picture Billy from Adventure Time.
  14. Rest in Peace Robert Z'Dar Yay! A movie with Robert Z'Dar: movie star is coming up.
  15. Did anyone else see references to Agent Carter?
  16. I do not know why my audacity account won't record my voice. Where do I begin?
  17. Thank you Mike. I realize now that my post sounded like I was complaining about the wait. I am sorry if it came out like that. I was trying to say that I have been looking forward to this episode and am anxious to listen to it.
  18. I have clicked the page renew button, in anticipation, at least a dozen times today.
  19. Happy Belated Birthday from me as well.
  20. Mask of Fu Manchu: Once I got past the overt racism I had fun with it. Fu Manchu's daughter was the most fascinating character in the movie.
  21. I once was invited to an Art Crawl. The person promoting it was like "Yeah, there is going to be big name people like Kanye West and Adam Sandler." Right then about a dozen mental red lights went off complete with the Klaxon sound effect. If anyone wants to hear people rip Adam Sandler a new one I would recommend Red Letter Media's review of "Jack and Jill."
  22. Moriarty! what are you doing in a James Bond movie!?
  23. From :20 to the first minute has a medly of the two Swat Kats openings. iFrame (Click to view this page in a new window)
