BBC America's The Doctors Revisited continues tonight with the Fourth Doctor and Pyramids of Mars.
Also, next month's Fifth Doctor story will be Earthshock, for some reason.
Moffat is funny when talking about Adric

Anyone eles want to see an episode set in the 90s? They could have an alien message inside a magic eye poster, or the world being saved by deep blue something.
I really would like to see the doctor runing around London in 1995.
-
I was a bit worried that in this story, they might use the 2 women as a sumg way of showing that the companions (in the writers heads) in doctor who now are so much better than the ones in 1970s. But they did not go there.

Series 7 finale title has been revealed. I'll spoiler it for those who don't want to know

Doctor 6, 7 and 8 on Peter Jackson working on doctor who. I think Pauls comment about not making it trendy is interesting.

I like the way Mike says that its the first time the doctor has used his legend as a weapon. sadly it wont be the last time.

At last, a good stand alone story. No stuff about disappearing bees, the doctors hand or cracks in the wall. Cold War is the best we have had in a long time

There are Moffat haters, who are now saying that Moffats who is full of forced sentimentality, the end of the seasons are always a cop out, the episodes are all about the companion and the 11th doctor mopes too much and cant move on when his companion goes.
They say that none of that happend under RTD???

Was The Rings of Akhaten the first new series story, where there where no humans and the story had no connection with earth at all?
-
I love the way when the new series goes back in time. They will point out homophobia, yet they act like race is not an issue.
-
we need to attach electrodes to Moffatt, and ever time there is a doctor who joke. We all press a button, and it gives him a shock

Rose back again. This better be the last time

The most misogynistic film to be co written by a woman and directed by a woman.

From the SFX review of the book
The pattern pieced together from multiple sources is so troubling that Richard Marson feels compelled to address the elephant in the room. “Was John Nathan-Turner a paedophile?”, he asks. He concludes that there is no evidence that he was. Nathan-Turner and Downie may have made indecent propositions and (particularly in Downie’s case) pursued them forcefully. Their targets may also often have been under the homosexual age of consent at the time – 21 – but as Marson points out, that was an unjust law. It’s equally true that JN-T was not alone when it came to inappropriate behaviour – plenty of straight male BBC employees used their aura of celebrity to wow youthful conquests too. He doesn’t deserve to have additional opprobrium heaped on him simply because he was gay.

I've not read any Pournelle outside of this book, but I can certainly give them a look.
They are great. Every few hundred years Humans are brought to an ailen planet. Some soldiers from 1979 are taken there, and their captain, must use what he knows about military history to fight the Romans, the celts and knights from the middle ages. Then bring all the groups together.

Have you read Pournelle's Janissaries series? I just got into them. Very good

They need to get Ian McDiarmid to play a bad guy in Who

Go to Netflix. Start with the beginning of the new series ("Rose") and keep going from there.
I dont think Rose is a good place to start anymore. From what I can see, many new fans, now look at the first couple of series. In the same way a lot of new fans looked at the classic series back in 2005. viewing it as corny and cheap looking. Now its the RTD fans turn to get defencive.

I am so glad to see Paul kaye back on TV as Thoros of Myr. I was a huge fan of his back in the 90s when he was Dennis Pennis
