  1. I, for one, like Family guy, and I like South Park. Both are not like they were when they started. South Park has to have some political statement in each show, and Family Guy goes for as many zingers and pop culture references as they can in each episode. The one I don't like because it's not as funny anymore, is the Simpsons. It needed to be cancelled 4 seasons ago.

  2. If you aren't reading this book, pick it up. It's funny, has guest stars in every book, and is just a good read.

The current story is that She-Hulk and John Jameson are married. That's right, JJ's biggest fear has happened. He has a "freak vigilante" for a daughter in law. In issue 9 we see a very tense dinner with JJ, She-Hulk, John, and Mrs. Jameson in which Mrs' Jameson tells how she met Jonah when he hired her to help kill Spider-Man. It gets better when Jonah goes to the attic to use one of his old Spider-Slayers against Shulky. Soon, they make amends when they decide to join forces to sue Peter Parker for fraud. They know he's broke, so they decide to go after his new suit instead.

Issue 9 isn't a Civil War book, but it does include some of the CW storylines.

  3. http://www.ghostridermovieblog.com/archive...comiccon_06.php

The Comic Con footage of Ghost Rider is up on the official site/blog. It looks really good(except for Nic Cage's hair). I especially like the chain and throwing fire effects. The movie ends when it says Ghost Rider in white letters even though it looks like it should keep going. It's pretty short.

P.S. In what I think is the biggest turn around in film roles ever, Cage is going from a flaming man possesed by a demon to Liberace, an eccentric man who played the piano.

  4. Storyboarding has already commenced. Favreau had stated that he intended to cast an unknown in the role of Anthony Stark a.k.a Iron Man, though rumors are gaining momentum. Favreau has also said that the plot itself will not so much deal with his personal problems (alcoholism) as much as the creation of his suit and the birth of Iron Man. However, he did say if there would be a sequel, the story could easily head in some of those directions.

I think this is the best way to do it. I don't want Tony to be an alchoholic in the first movie. I want to see him make the suit and fight. Maybe show him drinking, but not as a full blown alchoholic until the second movie.

  5. Aquaman is a hit--and this time iTunes, not Vincent Chase, can take credit.

The TV pilot based on the all-wet DC Comics superhero was one of the iTunes Music Store's most-played clips Tuesday, the same day the rejected series became available for download on the online music/video purveyor.

  6. Speaking of getting a clear version. Here is a hi res shot of Harry from the first trailer. He said at Comic Con that he is not the Green Goblin 2, or the Hobgoblin, and that he is something else.

I just noticed his bandana is covering his eyes. Do you think that is a mistake from the animators, or is it really a mask with some kind of eye holes?

edit: I just zoomed in and you can see that it is a two piece mask. A pair of green goggles with a darker green faceplate.

  7. In an interview with Jon Favreau, he revealed a few things about the movie. There will be 3 versions of the armor. The first will be based on the old grey armor from the 60s, then the gold and red one we all know, then an upgraded one. They are trying to update Mandarin for the movie, but haven't finalized the villains. Iron Man will mostly be CGI. Read the whole interview here.

By the way, here is the first teaser poster.

  8. Our next "all-" episode will probably happen around episode 60. Looking at our schedule, my guess is either episode 58 (15 September) or 63 (13 October). As it stands, I have us marked down to review Pulse and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (respectively) on those dates, but I couldn't give a crap about either movie. So maybe I'll swap one out for an "all-" episode.

What our topic will be (zombies, teams, action figures, etc.), however, I've yet to decide.

Once we decide, I'll let everyone know (both on the show, and on here) so y'all can help out.

September 15th would be good. It's not long after Dead Rising comes out on the 360 and I can do a review if you want.

  9. Her and Triple H(Paul Levesque) have a new addition to the WWE. Aurora Rose Levesque was born right before Raw aired last night. I imagine she will be the woman's champ by next month.

Yoda- How about a wrestling forum? A lot of the threads in banter seem to be about wrestling.
