  1. Wednesday Comics #3-Titans is becoming really good. I only read Supergilr a minute ago and I've already forgot everything that happened. Demon/Catwoman just went into overdrive. Kamandi is a master class in comics. Hawkman went from awesome to bonkers...and I love it! 9/10 Wednesday Comics #4-Goddamn! I really hope they do this after the 12 issue run ends. It can have a totally new cast of characters and creative teams. FINALLY, Metamorpho is starting to get decent (though I will never like Sapphire Stagg or Java). Not as enticing as previous ones but it is interesting to have an entire page of Bruce Wayne without Batman. 8/10 Total Comic books: 302 Trade paperbacks: 13 Graphic novels: 1 Jan 01-Aug 28=300 comics, 13 TPBs, 1 GN...Wednesday Comics #3, Wednesday Comics #4,

My dirty superhero name is: Admiral Sucker. Not great, but... My dirty supervillain name is: Thunder Cum!
  4. Captain Britain and MI-13 #11-15, Annual 1-What a goddamn shame this had to be cancelled. Vampire State is my favorite storyline of the past few years and it was a glorious way to leave. Fucking spectacular. The annula on the other hand, not very good. I wish it had been a way to extend the Marvel UK universe but instead it is wasted on a very poorly drawn Meggan story and a cricket match. 10/10 for Vampire State, 4/10 for the Annual. Wednesday Comics #1-Read it before but really studied it this time. Batman is really intriguing which is surprising because the last time Azzarello and Risso teamed on batman I wanted to stab myself in the brain. Kamandi? Brilliance. Beautiful. Hawkman, funnily enough, I found to be absolutely beautiful and intriguing. Deadman, love the art but it hasn't distinguished itself from every other time someone does a Deadman story. Superman, art looks rad but the story can go either way for me. GL? Slightly intrigued. Metamorpho, sad that this one page is the best thing Gaiman's done in comics in years and I still wasn't really impressed with the story. Allred owns the world as far as art though. Teen Titans, intrigued. Space Adventures, most interested I've ever been in Adam Strange but Paul Pope can do that to a guy. Supergirl? Not too interested. Metal Men: so much fun! Wonder Woman, haven't been able to finish the one page in the two times I've read this issue. Yuck. Sgt. Rock is something I want blown up and poster-sized. The Flash is the same and I'm even more interested in the Iris story. Demon and Catwoman? VERY INTERESTED. 8/10 Wednesday Comics #2-Wow. Batman is just as great. Kamandi might be the reason for me giving up the medium altogether. It doesn't get any better than that. Superman, though i thought the gun was jumped on Batman appearing, I thought it was better than the first issue. Deadman, getting more interesting. GL, hmmph, kinda boring. Hawkman, maybe the single best one page I've read this year. Strange Adventures, fuckign bonkers. Teen Titans, getting much better. Great "Dick" joke too. Metamorpho, feels like wasted story but it looks so pretty. Supergirl, now that i realize this is going to completely be about her chasing Krypto and Streaky around town, I'm on side. Metal Men, still fun as hell. WW, looked at the page and knew I wasn't going to read it. Ugly and dense. Sgt. Rock, my feelings haven't changed. Demon/Catwoman, yep, still awesome. 9/10. As long as WW is in every issue, it will never be a 10. Total Comic books: 300 Trade paperbacks: 13 Graphic novels: 1 Jan 01-Aug 28=300 comics, 13 TPBs, 1 GN
  5. Gasp! Black Lantern Dickens...RISE!
  6. I said "horror fiction." Glitter-pires don't count.
  7. Gonna bump this one to say that not only does the next episode feature possibly the biggest current name in horror fiction, something he says will make DW point at me and say "HA!" That is all.
  8. The summer is also a time I would assume where he is busting his ass getting published and collaborating with several people on several projects.
  9. In my experience, the only people who get more email than company vice presidents are professors.

That thread gave this forum the best line ever: DW to Suavestar
  11. Sorry to hear that, James. I hope that you can keep those good memories.
  12. Ha! My voice used to sound like Fred Savage's too!
  13. I partied with some skinheads when I was a teenager in Denver. They scared the shit out of me. They wanted to jump a person with a pipe, and talked about the Alan Berg murder like they were involved. They were the white t-shirt, suspenders, and combat boots type of skinheads. The kind we used to give tastes of their own medicine when I was a youngster...
  14. Walking Dead is one of those books that gets better and better. I wouldn't be reading it today if I didn't win the first four trades for cheap on eBay. I didn't actually like it much until volume three. But the way it is now trumps those first two years by far.
  15. Fuck the brink. I'm weeping. I feel for you man. Though I will never know how you feel, I certainly will always lend an ear if need be. You've got some memories that really count and I think that if you focus on that, you'll never lose it. I've always found, since I'm quite a person of solitude myself, that writing it all down helps. Memories and all. I only have flashes of my childhood I actually remember below the age of 10 or so due to my young adult experimentations and I've found that writing it down can be enlightening. And you are a clear candidate to me for a memoir. That post above alone carries impact and simplistic beauty which is what that kind of writing is always about.
  16. He knows what he said. Indeed I did. And whilst we're splitting hairs, I'm not all that sure what "belive" means!! I was wondering if anyone would catch that and of course it is the Classy British guy! To the Commonwealth indeed!
  17. I belive you mean wrangle. Wangle sounds dirty... Also, that was my program being messed up. I have a much better set-up now.
  18. Shit, Sejic has small panels that could be blown up poster-sized. The man's a genius.

The Sun is hardly a reputable source. It doesn't make sense that this news would break in a British tabloid. It's a rumor at best.
  20. Classic. Also, the censored version of Natalie Raps is my favorite.
