Put out BBQ fire. Pants need changing. Mental note: no more stuffing bacon in burgers.
  4. Incarnate #1-thoughts in DM 104 Dead of Night: Devil-Slayer #1-4-re-read these in show prep and it's just a great hero's birth story that is both horrific and modern without being preachy. Chris Samnee's art is about as good as minimalist gets unless you're Darwyn Cooke or Mike Allred. Loves it. Total Comic books: 264 Trade paperbacks: 11 Graphic novels: 1 Jan 01-Apr 21=105 comics, 4 TPBs...Joker's Asylum: Two-Face, Joker's Asylum: Poison Ivy, Joker's Asylum: Scarecrow, Joker's Asylum: Penguin, Joker's Asylum: Joker, Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel #1, Vigilante #1, Fantastic Four #558-564, Harbinger: The Beginning, Simon Dark #10-17, Captain Britain and MI-13 #8-10, The Darkness #8-10, The Darkness: Lodbrok's Hand Oneshot, The Darkness #75, Battle for the Cowl: Underground, Battle for the Cowl: Arkham Asylum, Green Lantern #40, New Avengers #47, Mighty Avengers #20, Iron Man: The End, The End League #4-6, Kick-Ass #5, JSA: All-Stars, Battle for the Cowl: Network, Battle for the Cowl #3, Age of Desire, Poe #1, Jack Kirby's The Demon, Green Lantern #41, Battle for the Cowl #3, Battle for the Cowl Gotham Gazette Batman Lives, Batman #687, Green Lantern Corps #37, Monsters on the Prowl #20, DC Comics Classic Library Roots of the Swamp Thing, Sudden Gravity (a Tale of the Panopticon), Green Lantern Corps Through the Ages, Green Lantern #42, Batman and Robin #1, Young Allies #1, Blackest Night #1, BPRD: 1947 #1, Creepy #1, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly #1, North 40 #1, Miss America Comics #1, Nightbreed 1-25, Hellraiser 1-20, Hellraiser Spring Slaughter, Hellraiser Summer Special, Hellraiser Dark Holiday, Jihad 1 and 2, Ectokid 1-9, Saint Sinner 1-7, Hyperkind 1-9, Hokum & Hex 1-9, Agents of Atlas, Guardians of the Galaxy: Earth Shall Overcome Premium Hardcover, Citizen Rex #1, Dethklok vs. The Goon, Project Superpowers: Chapter Two #1, Star Trek: Spock Reflections #1, We Kill Monsters #1, Green Lantern Corps #38, Green Lantern #43, Blackest Night: Tales of the Corps #1-3, Green Lantern #44, Incarnate #1, Dead of Night: Devil-Slayer #1-4
  5. Ha! Who said I was prepared? I just got paid and I'm still in the dunk for a grand before paying my bills.
  6. My hot water tank problems are almost over. Guy shows up a few minutes ago with not the $200 part they said they would, but an entirely new $1000 hot water tank that their boss got for free under warranty!!! I can finally have a shower this afternoon! And wash the dishes...and do some laubdry. Fuck it stinks around here...
  7. Reading those last two posts really saddened me guys. I hate that that's happening over there. When I lived in Glasgow, I was blown away to discover a medical system superior to my country's. In fact, Megan was hit by a car going very fast, and flew 20 feet through the air before landing on the street one morning. An ambulance was there in 11 minutes and I was picked up out in Lochend by an ambulance as they thought it serious enough to have her family there. It was there that they did several tests (including those necessary before an X-ray) and it's how mwe found out she was pregnant with Cade. That and the pre-natal care she received was amazingly good. She was born in the UK and is a dual citizen but she was never given the runaround, never forced to fill out a mountain of paperwork, or anything else. Sad to se that great care threatened
  8. Please don't read them both in one sitting. We like you and don't want you to jump off of a high building.
  9. Green Lantern Corps #38-Daxamites versus the Yellow Lantern Corps and Guy and Kyle versus the Guardians. Nuff said. Green Lantern #43-the origin of Black Hand as the avatar for Death. Mahnke is my new favorite artist. Blackest Night: Tales of the Corps #1-3-pretty hit or miss, frankly. A couple of really great stories (Kilowogg, Saint Walker, Carol Ferris, Mongul) and a couple of stinkers (just about the other half) Green Lantern #44- Good God! Hal and Barry versus dead J'onn J'onzz whose come to claim the previously dead? Win. Again, Mahnke. 10. Update: an hour prepping a lukewarm bath is only made more bitter by the fact that I hate baths anyway. Now I'm itchy and will probably take a cold shower anyway. Grrrr...
  11. And 300 dollars later! Arrrghhh! I now am boiling water to take a bath. Apparently, I live in 1624.
  12. They're fixing my hotwater tank right now. I want to have a shower. Yesterday was a long day and I smell. However, the fact that they've been working on it for an hour (there's two of them!) makes me think this might cost a bit more than I expected. In the past hour, there has been two tool kits, a shop vac and a trip into town for another part. EDIT: Just told me it's a regulator...that they have to get the boss to order. Fixed in a couple days, maybe a day (with a facial expression that said maybe not in a day). KHAAAAAAAANNN!!!
  13. Hey fellas, great episode! I think I may know Mr. Adam Fisher. That would be very weird. But if it's who I'm thinking it is, then getting laid during Quantum is not out of the question.
  14. I was more talking about backpay for Superman Returns but I agree with you as well.
  15. It's payola people. The Siegels, I'm sure, wouldn't want their father's only piece of legacy worth a damn to disappear? Not a chance. But remember, this counts for copyright usage, including a fair sum deemed by a judge for the cost of optioning a Superman movie.

That's...one of the most depressing things I've ever seen. And I've seen films where the main characters are Italilan fascists who force teenagers to eat feces.

Right on. It's a charmingly wicked little nasty book. You need to check out Damnation Game. A very standard horror novel plot with a fresh and gruesome take. So fresh and gruesome, it may be the best horror novel I've ever read.

Fuck that, we need a Des's kids podacast! Pulling the curtain back a little, I've seriously made this suggestion to Des. We had a name for it and everything, but I can't recall what that was. I don't remember a name but it isn't out of the question.
