  1. XBOX is the only thing I've ever been interested in playing.
  2. Was this a Lord of the Rings dig? Very astute my friend. Anyone who knows me well knows that I despise Tolkien and anything derived from his work. That's another soapbox for another time though.
  3. Thanks cvskin!!! Lovecraft will have to wait til tomorrow. Been without sleep for two days and good ole Howard Philips is kicking my ass tonight.

    Civil War *SPOILERS!*

I've got to say it was a little anti-climatic for me. Pretty good overall. Rand's closing comment was cliched but handled in a way that was kind of interesting. A lot of exposition in this one: "I've been in a ski mask covering for you guys," Cloak and Dagger, Richards and She-Hulk, and Stark's conversation with Rand. It didn't seem real to me in this issue. It might have been the wait but this one was just meh to me.
  5. Wow...thanks!!! I was worried it would come across as long and rambling. I'm pulling my hair out over Lovecraft right now. I'll get it to you tonight. Love the backwards writing in the banner by the way.

    PS3 news

Agreed. Anybody can realize they are in a crowd situation that teeters on chaotic. Leave asshole. If you race for a video game console and run into a flagpole, fall on your face, get trampled, etc. it is your fault. If you are robbed of your system Sony is no more liable than people who make wallets and purses.

I think maybe I'll fail him on principle.
  8. Does it take pride in it or bill it? I mentioned it. Jenna Jameson by the way is probably more of a pop culture icon than just a porn star anyway. I thought Private Parts was a pretty good movie even though I really don't like Howard Stern. JJ was in that one too...

    PS3 news

A career criminal student of mine positioned friends of his all over Vancouver Island and procured 17 60 gig PS3s for market price and is turning around to sell them for $4000 a piece online. Bastard. I used the "help a brother out" line and he refused. I even offered an A in English!
  10. I'm not a hundred percent sure it's Lex's, she's having strange complications i.e. piercing headaches and fainting spells...Oh and since it sounds like you missed it Lex proposed to her at the end of the show. Oh...ok...strange... Giffen's run had a love of Oreo's written into the character as well.
  11. Sin-Jin Smyth was nominated at the Spike Scream Awards as the Most Anticipated Movie of 2007 amongst the second Batman film, the third Pirates of the Caribbean, 28 Weeks Later and Pan's Labyrinth. Great company. It stars Roddy Piper and a slew of other career bad guys, wrestlers, rock stars and porn stars!!! It looks wild. I've interviewed writer/director Ethan Dettenmeier for an episode of Reel Dread to be published (hopefully) the first week of December. Here's an advance screening review If you folks are interested after the article, I might be able to wrangle Ethan to do a forum Q&A. Let me know. This is a film the studio is trying to suppress because they think you are stupid and they don't want to offer you a choice of a gritty action horror with morally suspect characters and explosions. The film needs support to make it to theatres.
  12. To tell the truth, the lad was crying in the middle and needed to be picked up and fed. What I saw before I left- Batista (crazy bone-eating monster from the Phantom Zone:actually kind of cool) was almost going to eat Clark (who had just heard a Flash-like speed sound behind him in the fog) when Batista fell. Clark looked down and saw two things: an odd-looking handprint burned onto Batista's back and a crushed up Oreo. When I came back- another scene but when we get back to Clark and Cloe he tells her that he met a being more powerful than he could ever imagine and she says "He's on our side right?" and he says something to the point of: "There's some things you don't want to know." Oh yeah...now that we're way beyond spoilers here: Lana is pregnant with Lex's kid.
  13. I'll ghost write it for ya tonight! He'll be a gay rodeo clown though.
  14. Screw Green Arrow! SPOILERS!!!!! Martian Manhunter is here! END SPOILERS!!!

    Make your own FF

And to keep the book from being a sausage party. Of course. It's funny that the most human view of the book would be an 8 foot tall green skinned supermodel/lawyer.

    Make your own FF

Doom would have any series of reasons to go good again. He's done it several times and will continue to do so. He's a world ruler with a grudge against Reed Richards more than a world-ruling despot. I'd love to see him and Namor together with Surfer looking at them as if they were both inferior lifeforms. Of course, She-Hulk is there to undercut the pomposity of it all.

    Zombie Spider-Ham~!

Yeah...wasn't that during the Timescape thing they did that was more like an Elseworlds tale (ie: What if Superman's ship came down in Russia and he took over the world?

    Make your own FF

My FF would be all about the sci-fi and universe spanning adventures: -Dr. Doom-leader, genius rivaling Richards and a huge power level -Namor-a history with both the FF and Doom as well as an entire army of Atlanteans backing him make this a perfect choice. He may sit out on the universe-spanning stuff. -She-Hulk-once a member... -Silver Surfer-the powerhouse. Mine all tie into FF continuity and would make for some interesting interactions. some reserves: -Wyatt Wingfoot-still alive?

    Zombie Spider-Ham~!

I have the hardcover waiting in my box at my lcs. One of my favourite What If?s had Wolvie as the undead prince of the vampires. Loved it, especially the Punisher with Dr. Strange's paraphenelia.
  21. In fact, I think the Books of Blood are his best work other than the Books of the Art. I could have gone to great length discussing the relation between story and film adaptation of the three (?) stories made film but I wanted to pay more attention to why they work. For a longer rambling essay, check out next week's Stephen King episode. Thanks for reading!

    All Star Superman

I've never been much of a DC fan but I do like superman. How many different forms of kryptonite are there? A lot. Damn that was alot.... Yeah, in the fifties and sixties Kryptonite was used as a plot device to get out of storylines and into storylines. Awful. One good thing Crisis did.
