Oh God… So I’m playing Condemned 2 and having a hell of a time. I’m about halfway through and I’m still trying to comprehend what just happened. Here’s the set up ( I wouldn't reccomend reading this unless you have no intention of playing the game):

God, the wireless adaptors are even more expensive down here. I just don't know if I can justify grabbing one, as I'd probably use it for downloading demos and trailers more than anything else.

Man, this game still hasn't come out here, and this review only makes the pain worse. Nice work man.

I don’t really get why the couple are drawing so much attention to the pregnancy. I understand that it’s a fairly unique situation, but I worry what their kid will go through when he/she starts going to school.

Mass Effect. When I first heard about it, I knew it wasn’t something I would be interested in. The more I heard about it, the more I knew this would be true. Yet I still bought it with my 360 and lo and behold, found myself completely uninterested in it. Other than that, Breath of Fire III, Suikoden V, Tales of the World, Metal Gear Solid: PO (great game, but I can’t get a hang of the controls) come to mind.

Uh... There’s not much to elaborate on really. It’s hard to figure out what you’re unsure about when all you’ve typed is a single question mark. All I’m saying is that I’m not the target audience, but if it get’s younger kids into batman, then I’m all for it. It doesn’t fit with the modern source material, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Eh, it’s hard to really comment about this since I’m about 15 years older than the target audience (as far as I can tell). But heck, I’m totally cool with a light hearted batman cartoon for kids.

Who says Guitar Hero is “cool”? I enjoy the series because it’s fun, just like any videogame. Personally, I'm a fan of music videogames, because I like the simplicity of timing button presses to music. I just happen to really enjoy Guitar Hero because of how awesome the music is, although the controller does make things a little more interesting (same with the DDR pads really).

Nice. I'll be going to the V Festival this weekend. Queens of the Stone Age and The Smashing Pumpkins will be playing, so it's looking pretty good.

Picked up X-Factor 1-6 for cheap, so I'll probably be reading through that soon. Has anybody here read The Hood miniseries? I've seen it around, and was thinking of gabbing it. The art looks nice, and the story sounds interesting. I’ll give either Preacher or Y: The Last Man a shot in the next couple of weeks too.

Still playing Condemned 2 and I suck at the combat. Despite the fact that it’s played from a 1st person perspective, the combat is almost entirely close quarters stuff. You have to block and parry attacks then strike with your own, which isn’t something I’m used to doing from this view. Still, I’m leaving a nice trail of dead bums in my wake, and the supernatural stuff so far is pretty cool. The game is creepy as hell though.

You don’t need a credit card to use paypal, and most sellers I’ve come across accept money orders. Not having a credit card limits you a bit, but it doesn’t prevent you from using sites like eBay.

Man, Alex the Kid brings back memories. I remember completing a good chunk of Alex the Kid in the Enchanted Castle on the Mega Drive when I was a kid. I forgot until recently just how easy it is to die in that game. I think I played at least one of the Master System games too.

That's my roundabout way of saying "let's try to keep this argument free”. It’s not that I dislike Smith’s take on the characters, it’s just that the story never really clicked with me. The ending didn’t exactly help things though. I’m really tempted to pick this one up; I’ve heard good things about it.

So I thought I would make a general thread, just for laid back discussion about currently read comics between the friendly chaps at Earth-2. Myself, I’ve recently read through the first volume of Daredevil (the big thick hardcover). Wasn’t a big fan of Kevin Smith’s writing, but the second story “Parts of a hole” I really enjoyed. It made for a great introduction to Daredevil, Kingpin and Echo, since it delved into their back stories. I also read the Watchmen. Really, really enjoyed it.

Just picked up Condemned 2 today, so I’ll probably give it a shot tonight. I’ve heard good things about it. I’ll probably submit a DMC4 review some time in the near future too.

Awesome stuff man. I keep hearing a lot of the same complaints you bought up, which is a shame because NMH had so much potential. I'll probably still pick it up though, I'll just have to wait until I can grab it at a cheap price.

Man, an X-men cartoon with a flamboyantly gay Wolverine would be the greatest thing ever. What’s all this hullabaloo about anyway? I can't see any reason why Nickelodeon couldn't make a decent cartoon out of either idea.

I’m still playing DMC4. After finishing the game on Devil Hunter, I’ve pretty much just spent all my time fiddling around in the Bloody Palace. I’ll probably tackle DMD difficulty at some point. I need to pick up Patapon again. I got stuck on the first miracle, and I can’t get the little buggers to stay in Fever mode. I’ll probably give Half Life 2 a shot in the next couple of weeks too. I bought the Orange Box but I’ve yet to play any of the games outside of Portal.
