It's depressing to see new games released in the $110-$120 range, especially for a system like the Wii. Almost every game I've bought this gen has been 2nd hand, or in one of Game Trader's bargain bins.

Never really cared for the GoW games. Graphics look great though.

Earth-2 is one of the big reasons why I started reading comics again. The earth-2 forums are one of the best I’ve been to. It’s nice to see well informed opinions without the usual internet snarkyness people seem to have.

In that case, I’d look at how many hours you’d spend playing either of those video games over the next month and a half (assuming you’d like to play both equally). BioShock is 10-15 hours, Lost Odyssey (from what I hear) is 40+ hours. Which is more suited to the amount of gaming you’ll be doing over the next 6 weeks?

I’ve done a fair bit of gaming over the past week or so. Finished Bioshock, finished portal, I’ve done a few levels of DMC4 with Dante and I’ve played the Patapon (rhythm based RTS (yes you read that right) for the PSP) demo. I like what I’ve played of Patapon so far, and I’m interested to see how much depth the full game has.

The only Perth based bands I really enjoy (neither of which would be known outside Australia) are Eskimo Joe and Karnivool. What’s Devin Townsend like to hang around? Never cared a whole lot for SYL, but I do enjoy his solo stuff. And please, tell the story of punching Chad Kroeger. If I ever wrote a list of people I wanted to punch, Chad would rank pretty high on that list.

You know who were awesome? Faith No More. Angel Dust is still one of my favourite albums, and I can’t stress just how awesome Mike Patton is.

I thought all 4 were pretty crappy, although admittedly I’ve never seen the Directors cut of DD. From what I’ve read about Jumper, it doesn’t seem like it’s a really bad flick, just mediocre.

If/when I grab a PS3, first game I grab will be Uncharted. It looks like such a fun premise, and almost everything I've heard about it is positive.

I’m a little over the halfway point (just got Dante). So far it’s pretty much everything I was expecting it to be. It doesn’t push any boundaries or explore many new ideas, but it’s fun for what it is. Nero’s demon arm is fun as hell to play around with, especially when suplexing the living armours. It’s a little annoying that you have to play through the game to get to the harder difficulties though. I shouldn’t have to work through the entire game on normal to find out what the hard difficulty is like.

Doug, can I suggest typing your posts in Word before posting them here. Your spelling is terrible at times. And I’m guessing it got the tag because of swearing.

A retrospective of a largely forgotten console would be interesting.
