  1. Donna isn't as hot as she's made out to be

    :D

Good thing there isn't an obvious thing to change my name to, then

Don't get me wrong, she is hot and proof that redheads can be just as sexy as blondes/brunettes, but I can think of hotter women, that's all.

  2. Different things work for different people. I thought Adam West's Batman film was hilarious, especially from the perspective of someone who doesn't buy comics. That said, I enjoyed Burton's Batman films a lot more than Schumacher's (although I really didn't mind BF) because they were better darker.

Haven't got round to seeing Hulk, Daredevil or the Punisher yet but the Spiderman ones are fantastic and I really enjoyed Hellboy as well. All down to personal preference I s'pose...

  3. The IWC's favourite sons collide!

Situation: Mario is plumbing in Benoit's Atlanta home. Benoit calls him up on his shoddy work and Mario, tough bastard that he is, doesn't take kindly to it. Things esculate to the point that Mario challenges Benoit to a fight on his terms and the Crippler, being the kind of guy he is, accepts. Mario leads him to the nearest warp pipe in Atlanta to transport them to a wrestling ring in the mushroom kingdom.

Conditions: This is no holds barred in this match: Benoit has access to the usual wrestling weapons under the ring, whilst at ringside Mario has item blocks. Importantly though, he can't access the Invincibility star and there must be a clear cut decision from inside the ring. For this match, no interference either.

    Enjoy! :D

  4. Wes Anderson, the director behind "Rushmore", "The Royal Tenenbaums" and the upcoming "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" is all set to do his first full-length animated movie - an adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic, The Fantastic Mr. Fox according to Empire Online.

Anderson intends to use old-fashioned stop-motion animation to bring to life Dahls twisted and funny tale of a crafty fox who finds himself and his family marked for death by three evil farmers who are pissed about having the wily rascal off half their chicken stocks every night.

At present, theres no word on when the movie will begin production, or if Henry Selick will oversee the stop-motion effects. But the Revolution Studios film will be the second movie in a row that Anderson will co-write with Noah Baumbach.

    Thanks to 'Ruff'

Another 'James & the Giant Peach'? Alright by me, as long as it isn't as cutesy as the aforementioned film.

  5. Well, the many incarnations of Sonic the Hedgehog are obviously awful

The Mario shows, the real life segments aside, at least stayed fairly true to the format - even if the Koopa kids had different names.

The Zelda series, which I barely remember as I'm both 19 and in the UK where it wasn't often repeated, I remember being cringeworthy even at the age of 6. "Ex-cuse me, Princess" <_<

  6. This is the most horrible thread ever.

I disagree, this is the funniest thread I've been in for a week! Props Cash!

I reckon that Alfred will do the manager-esque foot on ropes thing which never gets the wrestler DQ-ed so Hulk will have to deck Alfred at some point, causing Batman to sneak a toy sword from underneath the ring to use at a later date when Alfred comes around to create a further distraction!

  7. Casting rumour from Darkhorizons.com:

According to IESB, a scooper who has been working as an extra on the Fantastic Four set claims that Rob Lowe's name has been mentioned when Iron Man is being discussed.

"Did you know that they're doing IRON MAN next? Same producer. He's been talking about it in heaps. We overheard Rob Lowe's name a couple of times. He might be under consideration. Not much of a star though? One of the producers, Kevin, has been coming and going from the set because of meetings on it [iron Man] with the studio"

Tony Stark is supposed to be a jet setting millionare playboy, Rob Lowe could easily play that part. No official announcements are expected for a while but it has been reported that Iron Man is slated to start production in 2005.

    Thanks to 'Jessica'

  8. I probably wouldn't bother; I've majorly gone off gaming over the last few years, despite the games being just as good.

If I wanted to see N games to go to another system, I'd probably say XBOX, just because I hate Sony more than Microsoft and, as someone said, Link/Metroid online would be godly

  9. From Darkhorizons.com

Brandon James Routh is the new "Superman". Routh was first mentioned around two months ago (including right here) amidst the flurry of speculated names. Well now it has been confirmed by a Warners rep apparently and the announcement should hit the trades early next week.

Routh, who just turned 25 last week, has previously starred in regular roles on MTV's "Undressed" and daytime soapie "One Life to Live". He's also had notable guest appearances on such shows as "Will & Grace", "Oliver Beene", "Cold Case" and "Gilmore Girls".

The source who informed me of Routh's casting a few hours ago (yes I was asleep, these are the days I want to kick myself), also has passed on some more juicy information exclusive here. The film starts off with Superman having been missing for six years. Also, the Kryptonian production design element will be almost identical to the first film - so expect Krypton and the Fortress of Solitude to be very much the slanted ice crystal motif we've all been used to.

Other casting has yet to be finalised it seems though I've been advised to lend credence to the Topher Grace (as Olsen) and Mischa Barton (as Lois) talk.

  10. Rumor has it that David Boreanaz (Angel) nearly snagged the role of Ben Grimm before Michael Chiklis got it.  The same report also suggests that he tested for Superman, and that Singer liked him -- a lot.

I think though, for Boreanaz, his best bet would be to play a villan in his first feature film (I don't count Valentine as a feature film). So, if he is interested in the Comic Genre, possibly something in Spidey 3?

Funny you should say that - he's playing the main villain in the latest Crow sequel, according to IMDB.com

  11. Oh, you know they'll leave that shit out 'cause that might actually make the film and character interesting.  Seriously, fuck Warner Bros.  For everything they do right, they don't do anything right.

Well, I gotta give 'em Superman, Superman II, and all of their superhero cartoons.

Not to mention the first two Batman films
