  1. I've seen both and found that I enjoyed the many Mario series better than Sonic. Maybe it was my Nintendo roots, maybe it was the fact that Sonic was a cocky prick. There've been others - most notably Pokemon & even a Zelda cartoon way back in the day - but Mario v Sonic has always been the greatest computer character battle.

  2. Im a fan of Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, SSBM, Double Dash, Super Mario SUnshine, Viewtiful Joe, and Animal Crossing.

That said, I don't even own a Cube.........YET.  I just play them on my brother's Cube.

And to think some people have the nerve to say Nintendo's games are too childish for them! So what if the GC doesn't rely on shooters to sell?

Damn right. If you can't shoot your way through a level, it's a kids game :o:huh:

So ALL Zelda games are for kids? Games like Civilisation for the PC are primarily for kids? Sports games, etc?

(I can never tell when CH is being sarcastic <_< )

Ha, I'm always sarcastic. You know my undying love for the Gamecube anyway.

That's true! :) My problem is that I'm easily fooled....

  4. Stark for one reason: He makes weapons, Bruce does not.

That's right, Bruce gets someone else to make his batarangs and other gear, and yet they never work out why Bruce might want them......

More a dig at the logic that Bruce can't invent as opposed to whether it's factually true.

I meant WayneTech and Wayne Enterprises don't make lethal weapons because Bruce won't let them -- because of how his parents died. When it comes to Batman's gear I always assumed he made it himself, but you're saying he doesn't. Have they ever mentioned who makes his stuff?

I know there was an episode of the cartoon where Penguin figured out who made the Batmobile, but that's cartoon continuity and not comic so it doesn't count.

Ah right. No, I too was implying that Bruce probably did as well though I don't know for sure either. And yes, I remember that episode, though I've read somewhere that Alfred acted as mechanic.

  5. It's a really damn good first-person shooter.  You get 4-16 people and it's FUN times.

That said, it's the single most overrated game in the history of the world.

    Damn right.

Seconded, but Xbox need to have ONE flagship game that they can get excited about even if it doesn't live up to its hype.

  6. I challenge anyone.  I will kill you all as Zelda.  Bastards.

Convince them to make a Online SSBM and I'll gladly face you, or any other Forum member who wants to.

    Prepare to die.

Strong words for someone who fights as Zelda! :P

Perhaps if everyone picked one fighter that they'd be if we all had a big internet battle; ie/ ONE Samus, Falcon, Link etc.

Thus, I "shot-gun" Link, a Leicester expression that means "pick".

  7. It looks pretty and all, and I like the concept of having to start from the very bottom with your own custimized guy.

If it's good, then maybe I'll sell out and buy a Cube. Not likely, because I've got to get a new PS2.

I was like that with SD: HCTP, but I stuck to my principles. Good on you if you choose not to, but I'll be more than happy to welcome you to the Nintendo family if you do! :)

  9. I get the impression that 24 would work as a comic - you could put the time in the superscript boxes (what's the proper name?) and have each hour be it's own issue.

24 would make for an awesome comic, however flipping through 22 pages in less than 10 minutes isn't the same as watching the show in one-hour blocks. And if you take the real time element away from 24, it loses its specialness.

Maybe so - as someone who's never got into it (ie/ never been in for the first episode of the series and not bothering from there) I've never understood how real time works given the ad breaks.

    Was Buffy ever a comic?

  10. Stark for one reason: He makes weapons, Bruce does not.

  11. I love this show - it's especially great that Kevin Conroy got on board to provide Batman's vocals once more to give the show more authority. It's also opened my eyes to every DC superhero who isn't Bats, Superman or Wonderwoman.

And having Mark Hamil's Joker make regular appearences is godly too. :D

  12. What DRQ said about Tanuki Mario, that Mario owns everyone on this list.

But since he's not here and I hate null voting, I'll vote Fire Mario

    Darn tootin'

As for things on the list, I'll say invincible, just because you could speed through any level with Bullet Bill and not care in the slightest. Never truly got the hang of flying when replaying the game years after completing it....

  13. But the Mario Brothers was the best TV show!! And remember that other show that had Mega Man in it? Dammit. Anyway, Resident Evil BLEW!

Yeah. In fact, the Zelda series was also made into a cartoon show, where Ganon was always bestial and Link was like a teenager, with the annoying catchphrase: "Well ex-cuse me, princess!"

Back on topic, if you can get away from the fact that the characters in SF have been horribly changed, parts of it are pretty good - Bison always had the best lines and Ryu & Ken were an entertaining enough double act. But it was still a bad movie on the whole.

  14. Is it wrong to be turned on by a videogame character pulling off the pants of another videogame character?

Not according to the THQ marketing department. I know that I'd be uncomfortable if caught playing such a match - heck, women's matches on their own made me feel ashamed if my parents walked in. <_<

  15. It goes like this: Blade take a long hard, lustful look at Buffy, which allows her to get one attack in -- but it isn't lethal. Blade then counters by slicing her head off with his sword. The end.

That made me laugh out loud, as it's known.

If it was the first meeting and Buffy didn't get the opportunity to run away and regroup, then Blade. If she does, Blade would have quite a fight on his hands, which I doubt he'd be able to overcome.

  16. Null Vote: I seriously haven't seen more than ten minutes of any of those films.

You are the luckiest man I know. <_<

No, I just know crap when I see it. And by "see it" I mean the previews.

I wish I had your sticking power. I'm always drawn to a video game movie by a morbid curiosity, which ALWAYS disappoints! Luckily, I only take the opportunity if it presents itself!

Actually, I'm quite tempted to see Super Mario Brothers again to pinpoint WHY I hated it when it first came out. Only common sense is holding me back! :D
