It's one of those odd films which is both very dated and yet holds up really well. Can't disagree with any of the above, but the fact there's a Macy Gray concert confirms it was a film shot at the beginning of the century.

In that I only watched it 1.25 times, the music didn't make a *huge* impression. That being said, I expect that to change on repeat viewings

Help me out here - I thought Connery had retired? Gunn being fired is bullshit and again exposes the myth that the MCU is all about individual directors being encouraged to put their own stamp on the universe. Think Favreau being given 2 years to follow up on a sequel to Iron Man then having the series taken away from him. Think Joss Whedon actively ignoring continuity when writing Age of Ultron. Think Edgar Wright. Think the Thor franchise being turned into a joke with Ragnarok (fight me - I hate that movie). James Gunn made probably the best comic book movie of all time and he's being fired because not all of his tweets are mature or tasteful. Whilst Marvel/Disney aren't going to lose any market share over this, it certainly plays into my "Marvel production line" theory.

And it's being rescreened on IMAX over here to mark the anniversary. Can't deny it, I am tempted.

Very much something I'd discuss with my guests (i.e. you and the other guest!) - my initial feeling is that the Sesame Street movies would be out as they aren't "Muppet" movies as such, even though there are very obvious crossovers within the two franchises. "Jim Henson Creature Workshop" films might also have potential.

Did Megan not even like the Channing Tatum dance number? Anyway, I enjoyed it when I saw it in the cinema whereas my date wasn't as keen. Not sure there's anything in there that would specifically appeal down gender lines though.
