Good to know that my home county is well-defended: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-leicestershire-46363339/batman-cosplay-couple-spend-10k-on-superhero-outfits
  5. High praise indeed! Were they any good? Also, did they include the Redmayne films?
  6. If I had a holy trinity of N64 games, it'd be Goldeneye, WWF No Mercy and Ocarina of Time. Pandy & I played the hell out of Ocarina of Time over that Christmas and, honestly, for the rest of the N64's lifespan. I did complete Majora's Mask as well, but only played it through the once - Ocarina of Time was far more replayable, and, y'know, featured Zelda and Ganon rather than a madcap moon. For the record, I do think Majora's Mask is a good game. Already related the story on Twitter of paying Pandy to complete the Water Temple on my behalf, not because I couldn't do it (I think Pandy & I worked it out on his playthrough) but because the Water Temple is fucking tedious. But specifically, I loved the fact that the game kept expanding - initially from the woods into Hyrule Field, and then after the gathering of the Stones, into adulthood and further (many other) temples before the final showdown. Add in the side quests, golden skulltulas (sp?) and using the longshot in that village, pretending that Link was Batman. What a fucking amazing game.

    Update 01

Yes - there is one month in which we have two actors hanging in the balance, so the votes may decide their fate! I can't see the MP3 on the mainpage or in the forums, and I don't have iTunes access until I'm next home from secondment. Is the update only available via RSS feed?
  8. Huh, interesting. And I definitely agree with that last sentence.
  9. I cancelled my Prime subscription a month ago as I barely use it, anticipated it would be wasted whilst I was on secondment, and increasingly want to get away from paying Amazon in general. This alone wouldn't have tempted me, personally, back into the fold, but it's a smart idea. Notwithstanding the above, I still want to see this one.

Agreed - I'm merely commenting on it being an odd situation, nothing more. And I knew Arnie had kids, but I never stopped to think a) how old they'd be now, or b) what - if anything - they did for a living.
  11. That is excellent casting, if nothing else.
  12. It sure was! Not really. And I will fight Chris Johnson on that hill.

TIL that fresh from his divorce from Anna Faris, Chris Pratt is now dating Arnie's daughter. I'm sure that's been all over US tabloids and what not, but I literally found out about it laterally by looking at the wiki entry for the Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe.
  14. Yeah, it's getting widespread credence. R.I.P. Stan - to whatever extent you're a geek, we owe it partially to you and your impact on comics and geek culture.
  15. Time to take my little brother to a Pokémon movie again! He'll be so excited, bless his little hair...
  16. Mighty kind! But as long as we all agree that trolling Preston is the noblest aim, everyone will get along!
  17. True fact: Mike once edited an edition of Comic Reel-lief to make it less funny! I'd purposefully swapped Ryan Reynolds' comic movie roles around and he edited them together to be correct. Needless to say, I had the chicken and he had the fish, and I was made to look quite the fool! ....yes, that last line is a Brothers Wilson in-joke.
  18. That the whole thing really annoys @Preston is just the sweetest icing on the cake!
  19. I believe she starred in Nickelodeon/Disney Channel sitcom. That's the extent of my knowledge about her.
  20. Totally by chance too! The Smackdown roster are staying at my hotel. I arrived to find the entrance cordoned off and then the next thing I know, I'm having a selfie with Daniel Bryan!
  21. HHH also picked up an injury in that match, and he was the youngest guy involved.
  22. I mean, all tag teams are formulaic to some extent - the big teams in the 1980s being a prime example. It's more the storylines that they involve themselves in that, to me, defines them. Think how damn bland The Usos were a couple of years ago before they turned heel and had an epic feud with The New Day. As far as I'm concerned, the Outlaws never had a big match or major rivalry that defined them as an all-time great match - they were merely the most over team in a poor era of tag wrestling. Incidentally, I think history will be kinder to the New Day, as they've not only had some great matches/feuds, but their promos, side projects and ability to switch out members through the Freebird rule have kept them fresh and given them longevity.
  23. I like the way Mr Smis thinks! ....that doesn't really work with Mike's surname...
