  1. Jericho's a legend - he's a walking car-wreck and his title match at All Out was easily the worst match on the card, but he's got eyes on the prize by shoot losing it, geting it back and launching a new meme over the process. Hangman Page wouldn't have done either. Then again, he feels more like a Jericho c. 2000 - *close* to the title but not quite ready for the step up in the hierarchy. And yes, I remember Jericho having a night with the WWF belt before handing it back.
  2. Moreover, why now in 2019? I know that there was always this furore towards the Harry Potter books, but it's been 10 years since they were relevant and the film franchise is basically winding down. I know the answer to "Why now?" is usually "Trump/the culture Trump has engendered" but I'm not even sure that's the reason here.
  3. Speaking only for myself, I would be traumatised if Mother Wilson took my 10 year old self to a screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show. And whilst I assume she has probably never seen it, she was 20 when the movie came out and I basically don't wish to contemplate the life she lived prior to meeting my Dad in her late twenties.

    Help Dubs

I've chipped in - a friend in need is a friend indeed.
  5. He's definitely on our radar - not neccessarily for 2020, but you have the Tomlinsons in December if you want to force our hand. I should add, we have a completely blank canvas for 2020 at present, which is a charming novelty!
  6. Bear in mind I live in PAC's hometown and was watching in a room of Newcastle folk ("Geordies"), the finish was warmly received!
  7. So, you're saying Afterwards, Real Steel, and Little Evil then!
  8. Stayed up to watch AEW live and got home from the casino showing it at 5am. Pretty good card from top to bottom, with only the main event falling flat. I agree with the choice of winner, but with a caveat: Also, I like the fact AEW has pyro for entrances. It spooked the Rhodes' dog though, which was a bad thing.
  9. Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 67, our subject will be Evangeline Lilly. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review by Friday so September so get your ideas in before then! NB) We will be covering Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in this episode should you wish to send in feedback for this. We will not be covering her MCU films or Lost.
  10. I agree with the sentiment - I was exactly the right age for Jackass when it came out - but Hot Fuzz came out later, in 2008.
  11. Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 66, our subject will be Viggo Mortensen. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review by Wednesday 14 August so get your ideas in before then! NB) We will be covering LOTR: Return of the King in this episode should you wish to send in feedback for this.

    Randomness

Today, Killer Frost asked Twitter what their favourite Bond films are. How random.
  13. I found the panel to be wholly irritating for the most part. Not so much the host, but the wistful nostalgia for the distant past of the Twelfth Doctor and Tim Shaw being a recurring joke. Where do they find these people?

    Randomness

I am currently staying with my (and Pandy's) grandmother, who turned 99 6 weeks ago, had a pacemaker fitted on Friday and still lives independently - I know, she's awesome. Anyway, in between the fact that she consumes all manner of Freeview evening programming from the US (CSI, NCIS, Big Bang Theory, Bones etc), she casually mentioned that she watched Star Trek contemporaneously, when she would have been mid-late 40s. After a little prying, it turns out she also would watch The Avengers, the Man from U.N.C.L.E., and The Prisoner (which she found too surreal). Whilst it shouldn't surprise me that someone alive at the time would watch populist programming, it's weird to think both Granny and Grandpa Wilson watched them. Specifically Grandpa.
  15. If I'm allowed another Patreon pick...
  16. I mean, I have but that was the VERY early days Comic Reel-lief - we're talking Episode 21 of Earth-2.net:The Show itself, which was 13 years ago. On that basis, I think it's allowable for HAA, particularly as Pandy & I watched it in the cinema together.
  17. Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 65, our subject will be Hugo Weaving. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review by Friday 19 July so get your ideas in before then! NB) We will not be covering The Matrix or Captain America: The First Avenger.
  18. Indeed - it started something on this network's programming.....
  19. I hate everything about this post, save for Sara Pichelli of whom I have no opinions.
  20. That was the most expensive Doctor Who two-part season finale I have ever seen! Read into that what you will, but I enjoyed it on the whole. One question: at the wake, there was a guy I didn't recognise whatsoever. Teenager/young guy towards the back. I'll look into it further.
  21. Obviously Avon.... ....but also the greatest thing about Timelash!
