  1. For the record, I don't think Affleck is a bad Batman by any stretch, merely he's in the cowl in 2-3 films that haven't been critically acclaimed. I've heard mixed things about Gad - I reserve comment until I actually see him do something.
  2. I think it's 11th on my Flickchart, but I echo everything you said. The best James Bond playing a sinister supermarket manager would get my money anyway, but the film as a whole is so damn good.
  3. Can we all agree that Eli Roth helming a Death Wish remake was a bad idea? I'd be happy if that prick never made another movie ever again.
  4. One of the fun external things about last night's AEW Double or Nothing is the number of wantaway WWE stars tweeting about without giving a single fuck. No matter how successful AEW ultimately becomes, WWE have created this perfect storm by maintaining the creative "vision" of a senile, single-minded prick who cannot move on from anything. And pushes Roman Reigns as a top babyface.
  5. I have a feeling this is going to be akin to Heath Ledger being announced as the Joker. The news attracts scorn from those unaware that the guy can act.
  6. Birthday salutations to the greatest co-host I could ask for who isn't a direct blood relative! Now hurry up with editing the podcast, lazy bones.
  7. That's strictly Pandy's domain - I have no cause to demean my s'law. But the DVD shelves at their house is a right mixed bag of randomness.
  8. He isn't in it much, TBH. Much better suited for a Jim Broadbent month.
  9. We are doing The Two Towers during this episode - the nominations will help inform the other two choices.
  10. Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 63, our subject will be Andy Serkis. This can be either CGI or live action, although we'll want an example of both to cover within the episode. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review by Friday 24 May so get your ideas in before then! NB) We will not be covering the MCU films he appears in, nor him being Snoke in the current Star Wars instalments.
  11. As I said on Twitter, I still can't quite believe that he was 23 when he directed Boyz in the Hood.
  12. Whilst I knew the Ziggler trivia, I didn't make the connection - that's pretty damn great casting!
  13. He's also hilarious in Trainwreck. Him and Daniel Radcliffe's dogwalking movie.
  14. More of this please! Not neccessarily with Dave* because, as Mike noted, a lot of staff/contributors are wrestling fans. Also, if Mike ever gets around to watching The Final Deletion, that'd be worth a segment on its own! *Nothing wrong with Dave's contribution, save for his Brock Lesnar rant. He's entitled to his stupid opinion of course, but making the link that Jinder Mahal being a more interesting top guy than Brock is palpably absurd.
  15. To be honest, anything Dan posts in here is going to get that reaction. Such as wax discs and the electric grammaphones.
  16. It's you not answering the goddamn question, you supposed geek overlord.... ....same goes for Pandy, but I expect it of him.
  17. Commando vs Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure Street Fighter vs Escape From New York
  18. "Why Ackers, Master Wayne?" "Ackers frighten me, Alfred. It's time to let my enemies share my dread" Enjoy it, Acker-Man!
  19. Not until I posted, sprog. Now get off my lawn and mind your sass. .....and excuse me whilst I drink my Toland-branded elixir and hide a portrait of me in my attic.
  20. I don't remember him being all that prominent in that film, albeit I haven't seen it since I was in the cinema. ......15 years ago......
  21. Different blurb this month! This time around, you have the choice of which actor we cover in our May episode of Hey, An Actor! The choice is between two actors: Sean Astin OR Orlando Bloom You have until Friday 19 April to submit your votes! Also, be clear to confirm which films you'd like to see covered for your choice.
