The Great Fire of London is in the Key Stage 1 curriculum. You're worse than Hitler.

I spent 20 minutes talking with my class of 7-8 year olds about it this morning. I was very surprised that 5 of them knew that he was the 8th Doctor!

It's surely the worst thing the Catholic church has ever done!

Had to reapply for my job for a permanent contract. Didn't get it.

I have just watched the bit in 'Batman & Robin' that scared me to the point of running out the cinema crying when I was 9. This time I pictured Tom Hardy saying "This is very painful. For me."

and one more small gripe: they used ITV news coverage?? My school's newsletter is more credible than ITV news.

Oh yeah - the post credits scene...
What the hell were they thinking? That guy clearly couldn't be trusted to make a Pot Noodle, let alone a treasure of Asgard.
And when did Benicio Del Toro turn into a goose? -
Portman in Asgard:
What was the deal with the shots of Lady Sith giving the stink eye to Port-holes? Thor had a half-romantic scene with Sith early on in the film, then she went all Hermione Granger on Port-cullis, then
nothing more was made of it -
Agreed. I think there's far too much going on in this film which prevented me from enjoying it to the max.
I liked the first one because there were two very distinct tones: A Shakespearean tale of a would be King in the world of Asgard and a modern action film in a small town in America. The funny bits came from a Norse God finding his way around the world and the plucky, ragtag amateurs doing some science.
In TTDW there are so many different things going on in so many different places. There's lots of things to be tidied up from The Avengers, a new back-story and the human story to be dealt with before the main plot can begin, and the progression of these isn't clearly defined.
This did, however, work to great effect in the final battle. Mixing together and tumbling through various worlds made for a great fight that had space for action, humour and a reason why the all powerful bad guy couldn't hatch his plan straight away.
Oh, and my favourite scene where Thor hangs his hammer up on a coat rack in the London flat just after Jane and Thor return to Earth was great. There are plenty of other funny bits, but they're mostly lazy in my opinion. -
This is so cute! Some parents dressed their little daughter up as all 11 Doctors.
That's bloody brilliant!

Apparently because me and the wife haven't bent over backwards to thank everyone for coming to our wedding (as much as some aunties would have liked us to anyway) we've landed other people in hot water.
a) Got a problem: blame that person b) Talk to that person if it's a massive issue c) Get over yourselves

Don't forget the cricket bat. And to get red on you.

Almost 7.5 hours: This is going to take one very, very long lie in to get through! Many congrats to all!

I spotted 'No More' graffiti'd on the steel girder after plummeting Baker. Is this a reference familiar to old school fans or something new?

Another consideration - if Amy's been a ganger since the second episode of this series (thus Pirate Amy/Amy in the Doctor's Wife/the two-parter), is it safe to assume that Rory's been banging a clone of his wife (Ganger-banging, if you will)?
Oh very good!
Suggestions of shows we could cover.
