I'm sick of all this DD bashing. Who's bashing DD? All I said is that Hellboy was "much better" than it. That doesn't mean I thought DD was crap, 'cause I don't. Crap is Batman 3 and 4, and DD ranks much higher than those two films. I'll say DD was crap. Or at least that it sucked. I saw it for the first time this weekend and it was bad. Really bad. Affleck was shite, to quote my British friends. The only good parts of the movie were looking at Jennifer Gardner (but dear God not listening to her try and act intimidating), Colin Farrell as Bullseye, and maybe a little bit of the Kingpin.

I wasn't trying to put you down, I'm just saying the scenario makes it hard to make a decision.

I would say that Wolverine would win any fight with Bats. But I would agree that giving Bruce time to prepare would make it very tough for Logan. One problem here, though, Wolverine would gut The Joker ASAP if he was keeping him from learning about his past, so I don't think the scenario itself is plausible.

This may not be specific enough, so just let me know. Hulk - He was the dumbass teenager who Banner ran onto the Gamma test field to save. The Avengers - He was a mascot of sorts and ran a ham radio group of kids who were sort of like 'evil-doings' informers for the Avengers. Captain America - For some reason I've never figured out, Jones was Cap's sidekick for awhile. A replacement for Bucky. Captain Mar-Vell - This is the only one I'm shaky on. Rick Jones helped end the Kree-Skrull war, of which Mar-Vell was a major part. I don't know of any other direct connection because I wasn't a Mar-Vell fan. Captain Marvel (Genis) - Rick Jones shared a body/place in the world or something with him. I don't know how to describe it. It was Jones communicating with Marvel, and the Nega-bands (?) being a way of switching one of them from the Negative Zone or something to the real world. A hazy answer, but I felt so left out lately.

Personally, I've always had a thing for The Taskmaster. He can do any physical feat that he's ever seen. Think about that for five minutes and it will blow your mind. If you have the opportunity, pick up The Taskmaster mini-series from last year. It's quite cool. And ignore the Taskmaster guest appearances in the shit storm that was Agent X.

I could go simple and just say Watchmen or something like that. But I'll go off a bit. The last issue of Marvel's GI Joe (#154?) I know the exact number i around 154, but it's the last issue of the series so it's not hard to discover. The actual issue, however, is harder to find. It's written by Larry Hama of course. Plot The basis of the story is that Wade, former Vietnam vet who was in the same LRRP unit as Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow and Stalker, his son is ready to apply for the army. The kid doesn't know anything about war because Wade won't talk about it. The son wants his dad to be a real hero, like Snake-Eyes, so Wade tells the kid to write to Snakes and tell him what real war is all about. The majority of the story is Snake-Eyes' response. It's brutally honest about war and the army, and Vietnam in particular. It's emotional, it's raw, and easily one of the best single issues I've ever read. In-fucking-credible. If you can find a copy, buy it immediately. The price has gone up substantially in the last few years, but it's worth it.
