I love how Morrison ignored Countdown and Death of The New Gods. Twist the knife deeper...

Anyone read issue 3 yet? That ending was unexpected and over the top violent at the same time.

Secret Invasion #3: Spider-Woman's the Skrull queen, the question of whether Tony's a Skrull is even more puzzling, and Nick Fury reappears out of hiding with his Commandos to kick ass and take names. No huge reveals, but a great issue nonetheless.

Countdown was utter crap. I told myself I'd never buy another weekly series. But...I had to check out my man Bags at DC. So I told myself, alright I'll give it one month. One issue in, and it already pounded all 51 issues of Countdown into the dirt. Characterization was great, Bagley's art was excellent, and the back up seemed to tie into the main story. If you had reservations about a weekly series after Countdown, this is a completely different book and deserves a look.

Hol. E. Shit. The first issue of R.I.P. was a bit iffy, but part 2 blew the door off its hinges. Thomas Wayne...possibly still alive? Batman...possibly the Black Glove himself? Alfred...possibly dead? So many possibilities and executed so well. The next issue can't come soon enough.

Issues #4-7 make up a storyarc. Issues #1-3 were all one shots.

Criminal Vol. 2 #1-3.

-Batman: The Black Glove HC has the excellent "Club of Heroes" three parter and a storyline taking a look inside Bruce's mind. -Astounding Wolf-Man Vol. 1: A werewolf super-hero is a crazy premise, but I dig it. Kirkman writing, excellent artwork, and twists and turns throughout. -Essential Doctor Strange Vol. 1: Collects the entire Lee/Ditko run on Doctor Strange in one affordable volume.

You guys may have talked about it and I completely missed it, but how do you guys feel about the change in art style in GK?

Great FCBD story. Can't wait for the ongoing in the fall.
