  1. Yes, Boston Dan, Andrea killed. Bruce slept with her before he was absolutely sure she was the killer though.

After I was done editing the show, something dawned on me: this isn't the first time Bruce has romanced a killer. Talia's one of her father's top agents, so she's clearly killed people, yet Bruce loves her.

To think, he was so paranoid someone was toying with his head at the end of Hush. His head is already messed up.

It's hard for me to consider MotB in continuity though; style/writing-wise, it's the weakest, and doesn't even stand close to Mask of the Phantasm or Return of the Joker. Do we ever hear of this girl again in the DCAU? I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

  2. Batman and Son isn't bad (despite featuring the anti-christ), but Arkham Asylum is a whole different caliber of art. GOOD choice.

I was going to get Batman and Son today, but decided to just go for Hush.

    Again -- good choice.

  3. To restate my original post, she is attractive, but not my type. Personally, I'm attracted to punk and goth girls, geeky girls in glasses and the girl next door type. I like redheads, big busts and curves.

    You love Barbara Gordon!

MaxPower is right -- I was pointing out the cool fact that Megan Fox, who looks like the typical bitch in hs who'd make fun of the geeks, was actually defended the geeks, and maybe is one of them (us).

    That, and I'd lick her.

  4. I know this is way late in the conversation but

    1) I don't get all the Batgirl/Robin infatuation

    2) Stavros, Buffy got good after Spike showed up. Mmm, Spike. ;)

    3) Mike, that is not weird at all. If a guy can wear a batsuit and look good in it...then meow.

  5. My mom doesn't approve of me wanting to become a librarian <_<

What's her problem with a safe, quiet, reliable job?

Maybe she was looking for something that offers better pay. That's usually the parent's angle.

Finding an apartment in NY is really f-ing hard.

  6. "She was recently at Comic-Con in San Diego, admiring Batman sketches and revealing a love for comic books and superhero and fantasy films since childhood. And of the Comic-Con attendees she says, "They're not nerds. They're just passionate." She's even spent all day just watching Austin Green play Gears of War.

So Megan Fox is a hottie who likes comic books, video games, and girls, and possesses 'the libido of a 15-year-old boy.'"

  7. The other day, one of my co-workers came up to my register to buy a half dozen doughnuts and this happens:

(He leans down and takes a sniff of the box of doughnuts) and he whispers, "Smells like pussy!"

Now...I am no expert on women, but I've never encountered a vagina that smells like fresh baked glazed doughnuts.

I think someone was trying to impress you with his knowledge of pussy.

    Overheard:

    "Hi, how are you?

    I know.

    It's not Friday.

    We're not on vacation.

    It's shitty outside.

    I'm gay."

  8. I'm almost done with this podcast.

Couple of things you guys didn't talk about:

The music "Descent into Mystery" that played when Batman drove Vicky Vale to the Batcave was beautifully composed. That's probably the best song in the B89 soundtrack, save the main theme.

I also recall reading that Burton was forced to ham this movie up to please Warner Brothers. Only when it received high acclaim did WB hand over full control of the sequel to Burton. I understand some people hate Batman Returns with a passion, but I feel like his characterizations in that movie was much more true to Burton as a director than B89 ever was. B89 only brushed the surface.

Ian, B89 could NOT be below Spiderman III. Right? Because Bruce never broke into Emo-dance. Thank god.

  9. It's cool. When we get to Batman & Robin, I'm guaranteeing you all that I won't have any functioning vocal chords after we get done with that recording.

That's because the worse the movie/episode, the funnier the podcast ;)

I wish you'd skip Batman Forever because while it's terrible, it attempts to take itself seriously. B&R is just bat-shit crazy. That should be a fun commentary.

No, James! Don't let other opinions sway you! Always stick to your first gut response. (I'm referring to your opinion of the movie as a whole)

  10. I'll admit it....

I was momentarily startled by Mike's anger when he said "FUCK THIS MOVIE, MAN." That's why I was so silent for that bit there.

I noticed :) It's ok. It shocked me too.

And yes, we are going to review every live-action Batman movie.

    Can't wait :P

  11. Wow, I'm taken aback by how much Mike HATES this movie.

Why's the such a surprise? I've always been very vocal about my disdain for this film.

It's when you say "FUCK this movie," and it's followed by a moment of silence from the other two. I knew you didn't like the movie, but I didn't know how much you didn't like it.

Side note, I never liked Vicky Vale either, but she's monumentally more tolerable than Katie Holmes.
